"With Fury of Seduction and the entire Dragonfury series, Coreene has created a separate culture which must dip into our world in ways that create interesting conflicts, with unique characters that make you want more.  I highly recommend this series and Fury of Seduction." —Fangs, Wands & Fairy Dust

"Ms. Callahan really is a wonderful and descriptive storyteller.  I was captivated through and through." —Under the Covers

"There's no doubt in my mind that there's something special about this Dragonfury series. Not only did she create a wonderful kind of dragon shapeshifter, but Coreene Callahan has succeeded in creating great characters that have you coming back for more. I think Fury of Seduction has been my favorite of the series so far, especially since it features one of my favorite dragons, Mac." —Tynga's Reviews

"Coreene Callahan strikes hard and fast in the third installment of her Dragonfury series...this book was fabulous...absolutely and totally fabulous! A must read." —Tea and Book

About the Author

As the only girl on all-guys hockey teams from age six through her college years, Coreene Callahan knows a thing or two about tough guys and loves to write about them. Call it kismet. Call it payback after years of locker room talk and ice rink antics. But whatever you call it, the action better be heart stopping, the magic electric, and the story wicked good fun. After graduating with honors in psychology and working as an interior designer, Callahan finally succumbed to her overactive imagination and returned to her first love: writing. And when she’s not writing, she is dreaming of magical worlds full of dragon-shifters, elite assassins, and romance that’s too hot to handle. Callahan currently lives in Canada with her family and her writing buddy, a fun-loving golden retriever.

I am not going to spoil anything by appending anything to the description (even though there is so much I want to share) - I think it gives potential readers a good overview.

I enjoy this authors writing style - she has created a world where her readers can linger. The story flows smoothly. Thanks to the authors very descriptive writing style ~ you need just a nip of imagination to fully experience the vivid settings/characters. Well written, with gentle humor.

I was so invested in the outcome of Mac and Tania's struggles, it was almost hard to breathe as things became more complicated and their HEA seemed so far out of reach. However, the author knows how to create exceptional characters - these two sure had me rooting for them.

This is an extraordinary paranormal romance - a true triumph in a very flooded genre.

I can't wait to see what happens next; with the introduction of several new characters it looks like this will be a long running series ~ ~ Her website already shows 3 more upcoming installments - Fury Of Desire, Fury Of Obsession, & Fury Of Surrender

Warning: Please be aware that there will be spoilers throughout this review. If you don't want to be spoiled, consider yourself warned.

We are now three deep into the Nightfuries series. This installment focuses on Mac, former SPD officer, and Tania, Myst's (from Fury of FIre) best friend. The Big Bad, Ivar, has now set his sights on Tania, a high energy female, to be part of his dragon making factory. Mac is determined to save her, driven by a need he can't explain to keep her safe. See, although Mac and Tania don't remember, they have gotten up close and personal before, during Mac's first Change. (In Fury of Ice) Due to the trauma of the first Change, Mac doesn't remember. B and the boys did a mind scrub on Tania, so she doesn't remember. But they still are oh, so attracted to each other.

What worked for me: The interaction between the males - Cannot stress enough how well written the bromance portions of the book are. And I do love me a good bromance. Mac - Reluctant to be tied down to one woman, he nonetheless is hopelessly devoted to Tania. Tania - strong, independent, scrappy heroine. She has a temper and isn't afraid to express herself. One TSTL moment, but she didn't do anything to make me hate her.

Less of the annoying label dropping. Oh, there was still the boots got to moving and stuff. Plenty of oh, so clever turns of phrase. It just seemed less obtrusive in this book.

The story flows really well, it is interesting and well written.I like the way Ms. Callahan writes male characters an awful lot.

What didn't work so well for me: The dragonverse is getting a little crowded - We got introduced to several new characters, both male and female, and a new player on the dragonese political scene.

I really wanted to like these books because the premise is really interesting, but the writing is just so terrible that I'm having to force myself to wade through them while I roll my eyes at every other phrase (well, one of three typical formats used hundreds of times in every book)and try to figure out what happens in the overall arching story line.

But probably the most annoying thing is that in all three books the climatic battle scene is always brought on by the unerring stupidity of the female lead in that book. Literally every time the woman does something ridiculously and obviously stupid and nearly gets everyone killed. It is beyond frustrating and frankly a little insulting.

Wrought with loads of profanity and sub par sexual scenes, Coreene Callahan's third book in her Dragonfury series may rock the world for dragon warrior followers but if you are not already a fan do not use this book as your introduction.
Three hundred pages into the 422 page book it became clear the whole purpose of this installation must be to set the plot for the next book. The full plot of this book was a tiny bit of action a huge chunk of teenage angst masked as thirty-something, a couple of pages of sexual tension, a page of gratification, more angst, self doubt, action, sex, angst, pivotal moment, book over.

Callahan cannot be faulted for her descriptive writing. She has the ability to put the reader in the scene. It is always enjoyable to read about sites you have visited and Callahan's pinpoint accuracy in wordcrafting brings those locals right to the forefront of the imagination as the scene unfolds.
While interesting things percolated on the back burner, with an intrigue of one of the inner circle being repulsed by the beastiality of the heirarchy of "dragonkind" and plotting to bring it down, or the subplots of main characters' parentage, Callahan choses to "ass-plant" her readers in a locker room of adolescent boys using stilted swearing in every conversation they have with each other. You must already be an avid fan to not find this boooring, and sometimes even uncomfortable. For me, it did little to advance the plot or give a sense of who these creatures are, except if that sense is supposed to be an emotionally crippled, mentally challenged, subspecies, unsure of who they are or why they exist.
If you liked the first two, you will like this one. If you are wondering whether or not to start the series, based on this book, I can not recommend it.
