Since many people complain about not knowing about cliffhangers, Book 4 does finish, although it does lead into the final book of the series Spirit and Soul.
For those of you who found this review before the one for Book 3, Time and Fate … the spelling, grammar and punctuation errors are, in comparison to the first two books, next to none. There's one here and there and in either Book 3 or 4, Nik is Nick.
Not only do with have problems with the otherworldly, but now Maya is channeling people who are dying. The evil doesn't come just from the Godly realm, but close within … and the human variety.
If you made it this far you must like something about the series. Me I've been enjoying the storyline, the characters are like old friends by now. It's been interesting learning about a different culture I'll be sorry to see the series end with Spirit and Soul because there's much more that can be done with the storyline and characters.
Other than a few smooches between Maya and Nik, there's really no love scenes, so this book I'd rate about PG-13.
Again, it's about the money for me, not so much the quality of the story, which seemed formulaic to begin with. If it longer or cheaper, I may "bite."
I received a complimentary copy of this title from the author. The opinion in this review is solely that of my own.
