I've had this for 6 months now and couldn't be happier. I bought it because I was trying to learn to cook some Indian foods and it has served me very well in that capacity. I also use it for stir-fry. Its easy to clean if you put it to soak or clean it right away. The only thing I've seen really stick to it was when I browned some tofu, but I just wont use it for that again. It cleaned up fine, it just had to soak a while. The 3.75l was the perfect size for cooking up 6-8 servings at a time, not too big and not too little. So far the wood handles are holding up good and the anodized surface seems very durable. Very happy I spent a few extra dollars to get this one instead of something cheaper.

I waited to write the review to first try and see it for myself.! I am really pleased with this cooking pan.! It is well made, strong and appropriate for most cooking. Heats up well and if you use well nothing sticks to it. You just use a bit of oil or butter and stir it well for sticking-free cooking.! If someone is looking for a better alternative for a nonstick and harmful coating free pan, this is the one to go for.! Overall it's a great buy and I can recommend it with confidence.!

The Futura line of Hawkins is one of the best product ranges that an established brand has nurtured successfully. This kadhai (deep-fry pan) delivers all that it promises. For customers who want to get out of Teflon, there is no better alternative, in my opinion. The hard metal is easy to clean with regular scrubs. The wide top helps in cooking and serving a dinner party comfortably. The wooden handles and top-cover holders are comfortable, as also presentable. For those worrying that fries may stick, this material helps avoid stickiness, while also not using Teflon. The hard metal avoids scratches and their visibility with aplomb. All in all, a perfect product, and a completely satisfied customer (the wife!).

Absolutely hate this item, every single time I cook and I mean every single time the food just gets stuck hard to clean and I don’t want to clean it abrasively, I don’t want to damage it. I don’t recommend at all.

I have had this for 15 months now. Although I don't use it daily, I use it from time to time for deep frying & cooking gravies or curries. This pan is NOT non stick & therefore food sticks if I am not being careful. The size is good for cooking an adequate amount of food. I've always hand washed it (as instructed) & it cleans nicely. I have never used any metal utensil & haven't noticed any scratch yet.

Even though expensive, this is money well spend.

Hard anodized cookwares are not as non-sticky as Teflon (PTFE). But they are healthier and much more durable than other nonstick coatings.

It comes with a steel base making it usable on induction stoves. The handles and knob on top of the lid are real wood.

This has been one of the best buys I have made in a long time. My husband received a curry book for his birthday and he wants to try every recipe in the book.
It is advised that you use a Karachi because they have heavy bottoms and don't allow the spices to burn. I'm so glad that I did because these curries are actually better than any takeaway we have ever tried. I would recommend anyone who likes to cook curry to buy one and this particular one is perfection and so easy to clean.

Update after a single use.
plz go through my pictures. The hard anodised coating has disappeared and I can see aluminum at the base and arond the rim after just 1 use. Shocking - cant believe that the socalled great Hawkins who charges almost twice the other brands can have such quality!!! I have been using hard anodised utendils from another brand for years and all of them are as good as new, and mind you, I personally was them and have never used any abrasive material on them too. Have paid nearly rs 2000/-. Feel pained and cheated and have deleted all Heakins items from my wishlist. Will approach their 2 yr guarantee. Lets see their service now. Will have to search for Hawkins customer service.

The packaging of the product was not good only hawkins packing there was no amazon repacking as the product is solid and good quality one so no damage found during delivery.The kadai seems to be of great build quality and long lasting as this is satilon hard anodized coated which is better than Teflon coated ones. As mentioned in manual the kadai should be washed in hot water not in cold water after usage for long life and less soap required while washing ,Wooden handles are so thermal proof they don't heat at all while cooking.
Size is bigger than I expected can easily cook food for 5 to 6 people not for smaller curries and little heavy but that's not a problem.It cooks food well in less oil and no burning of food so no nutrition is lost and taste better.The price seems no difference as the MRP written is 1800Rs and I purchased in 1665Rs save 135 Rs and free hawkins recipe book worth 25Rs
