NOTE to Futurama fans and potential buyers: This is the FIRST HALF of Season 7. If you're confused by the "Volume 1-7" series (which, fyi, are 2-disc sets of half-seasons; and, if you're looking for Seasons 5-7, here is what you'll need to know:

SEASON 5 = is officially the collection of 4 Futurama "Movies" ('Big Score', 'Beast', 'Bender's Game', 'Green Yonder')
SEASON 6 = Volume 5 (First 1/2 of the Season; 2 disc set) AND Volume 6 (Second 1/2 of the Season 2 disc set)
SEASON 7 = Volume 7 (First 1/2 of the Season; 2 disc set) AND Volume 8 (Second 1/2 of the Season 2 disc set)

Unfortunately, I can't personally speak to the Volumes 1-4 as I have the original Seasons 1-4 dvds.

The star rating of this concerns the DVD release itself, not the quality of the episodes. This volume features 13 episodes making up the first half of season 7. The episodes themselves are listed below. In terms of the DVD release it's much like the previous 2 volumes released under Comedy Central. The case is made up of a cardboard box type of material and the 2 DVDs slide into pockets made out of the case itself, there is no plastic holder per se. It's honestly incredibly cheap packaging and I'm not certain that the pockets don't damage or scratch the discs when they are taken out or put back. The box feels flimsy, I keep thinking I'm going to rip it or damage it when it's out on my coffee table. Is it enough to prevent you from purchasing the volume? For me it wasn't, but for some it may be.

5 stars for content, I love the entire futurama series and I'm guessing anyone looking at this is either already familiar with it, buying for someone as a gift, or should really go look at season 1. If you've never heard of or watched futurama then I'd start with earlier episodes. I knocked off a star for the packaging, as most have already commented on. It's flimsy and I've opened it a few times to have one of the discs fall out onto the floor.

I really enjoyed Futurama seasons 1-4 then I thought the specials (season 5) were ok, then season 6 was more of the same and then I just felt the episodes didn’t land as well for me.
But the thing I can’t tell if Futurama got worse or if I just grew out of it.

Still there’s always Rick & Morty... that’d be a cross over episode and a half....

I'm hoping this set will grow on me, but I have to say I felt the scripts left me a little 'short-changed' after first viewing. (I wish they'd get rid of the Robot Mafia.) Also, the blu-ray loaded somewhat awkwardly on my player (which has had no problems with any other blu-ray) and I can't say I like the menu. It could easily confuse a stupid person... I love the series though, so I'll give it 'four'!
