I'm basically a middle aged, white, conservative. I wondered how the author was going to present his findings and more importantly his proposed solutions when I saw the term "Inclusive" Competitiveness. I was pleasantly surprised and then offered Johnathan the opportunity to discuss the book on my national radio show.
His data and ideas are absolutely inclusive. I found myself fascinated with how much I learned about our under served communities and populations of all colors and circumstance. Most of all, how we can potentially create a vibrant new economy that gets more Americans involved.
I was skeptical before reading the book if this was going to be a lecture on all the things our country is not doing for certain groups. What I found was great reason, depth and proposals for change that could help raise the tide under all boats.
This is not a text book, not overloaded with charts and data to put you to sleep. It is more of a conversation that creates thoughtful introspection. I would recommend this book to all that enjoy business and are interested in hearing about solutions you haven't heard before.
