I just bought this for my son and he loves it. i did not know what to expect, but for $20 this is definitely a good product. it was really easy to set up - my son was able to do it himself. the graphics that light up on the spokes of the wheel are cool, but my son especially likes that it shows how fast he is going. it has become a little bit of an obsession at our house, and i am going to get this for my husband too. the two of them want to see who can ride fastest. I'm serious. all and all, a really good product.

We got this for my 10 year old son and for the most part it seems to be pretty good. The leds are bright and it was easy to install. The only problem is that in order to see the full image you have to be going at least 10 miles per hour. My son spends a lot of time just slowly riding around talking to his friends so most of the time there is just a partial image. The speedometer feature is fun as long as there is someone with you to tell you how fast you are going because you can't see the image yourself. My son was overall pretty pleased with it, but I'm not sure if I would have bought it if I had known in advance that you had to be going at least 10 mph in order for the entire picture to show up.

The package came on time and arrived in a medium sized amazon brown box. The instructions to put on the wheel writer were simple and straight forward. Now for you visual learners they also include a link to a video that shows you how to install it. I found this very helpful. I initially thought that the wheel writer would show animations on both sides of the wheel. But after taking a closer look at the pictures and instructions I found out that it only shows led animations on one side of the wheel. If you want it to appear on both sides you would need to buy another one. Which is alittle disappointing considering that I already paid $20 for it.

Which is already alittle pricier than I hoped it would be. I first found out about this in a tv commercial on Cartoon Network. When I first saw I thought that it was great because I have never seen anything like it before. I have however seen the valve led that you attach to your bike. But those didn't provide bright led animations like the fuze writer. It was just a light spinning around the rim. These are made out of plastic. But still feel very durable. Now just alittle advice if you decide to buy this. When you attach this to your spokes make sure to move the wheel rider all the way to the outer part of the bicycle rim before installing it. It tends to move around if you don't.

Now if you are wondering how these work. The leds are activated by a magnet that you attach to the side of the bicycle frame with a cable tie. They give you three in the box that are black and white. When the wheel rider comes in contact with the magnet it lights up. To change the animations you choose between the three buttons. The 1st and 3rd button is the up and down button. The 2nd button is the selection button.

I loved this product, we put it on the bike following the instructions, and it was very cool, it showed the speed and had all the different lights but it broke within 5 minutes of use. The bottom magnet that you attatch to the frame it built out of cheap plastic and if it gets bumped or jiggled it will break off. We however just attatched it back on with 2 zip ties and so far so good. It is a really great product idea for kids but the magnet needs to be built way better to withstand what kids do on their bikes. Overall if they fix that problem I would give it a full 5 stars because my kids love it! If you want to give this product a try just go ahead and get you some zip ties and use them on the magnet bracket instead and I dont think you will have a problem.

Easy install, easy set-up, and many display options. The kids love it. Only negative thing is that you can only see the graphic from one side if the bike.

After using it for about a week now I will say that the lights are bright but the image, even if going over the 10mph minimum, does not remain constant. The other major issue I had was that you cannot use them on the front wheel... Only the back since it requires a magnet to mount onto the side rail frame. I had ordered two, one for each wheel but it doesn't tell you that it isn't designed for front wheel use. Other than that it isn't too bad considering it is less than $20.

My son wanted this and I really didn't think it was going to work very well. I was wrong. It's pretty neat. It will not work if the spokes are really far apart or really close together, but on your average bike it will work just fine. I also works best at a speed greater than 14 mph, that pretty fast, but you can read a lot of the stuff as slow as 8 mph, it looks better going faster. The only other thing I didn't know is you can only see it on one side of the bike. I hope it holds up. The speedometer is pretty cool also.

This gift was so fun to give to my nephew. His face lit up and he was instantly excited, seeing all the things it could do. It's definitely a great and affordable gift for a kid who loves bikes. I've also heard that it works great!
