About the Author
Kari S. Sanders is a native New Yorker - born and raised on Long Island. She has been drawing fuzzies since 1987, and now they have come to life! Kari moved to Colorado in 1993 and lives in Golden with her husband and 2 cats – Cirrus and Muggins. She graduated from the Colorado School of Mines with bachelor of science degrees in both engineering physics and electrical engineering. She earned a master's degrees in electrical engineering from UCLA and an MBA in strategic management from Regis University. She is a certified project manager (PMP) through the Project Management Institute (PMI). Her professional experience spans the project lifecycle from business capture to operations as well as the breadth of ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance) systems from optical payload and spacecraft development to ground systems, algorithm development, and data dissemination.
