About the Author
Dr. Theresa Da Silva Edwards earned her Juris Doctor in Law, from John Marshall Law School (Georgia) in 1996, after graduating from Fordham University (New York City), with a B.A. in Political Science. Ms. Edwards went on to Clerk for the Honorable Sanford Jones, Chief Judge of Fulton County Juvenile Court. Dr. Edwards resides in Georgia with her husband and six farm cats. Theresa is a Court Appointed Juvenile Mediator and CEO/Owner of Silva Solutions, Inc. Her corporation specializes in the creating and training of Alternative Dispute Resolution Programs for government agencies, juvenile courts, and corporations. Most conflict between juveniles arise because of a child’s inability, to accurately analyze a situation, critically think about it, and effectively communicate with others. Theresa helps juveniles become leaders within their community. Her books are a result of issues encountered during the mediation processes. Dr. Da Silva Edwards’ books are entertaining, while influencing children to think analytically and critically, along with the ability to become effective communicators. These are the core building blocks to helping your child become one of tomorrow’s leaders. Very few children possess these skills, for they are not innate to human nature, and must be learned. The world is in need of effective leaders. Your child could make a difference.
