I usually wear a 7.5 in other brands, but definitely had to go a full size up to 8.5 as was suggested by Amazon.
Most of the negative reviews I have read about these shoes seem to be that the buyer made the mistake of not sizing up from their normal shoe size. You almost certainly need to size up when ordering these shoes. As others have said these shoes look great out of the box but be warned that they are snug. Having said that, my heels do tend to slide when I walk with these shoes so they're a bit long at the heel. This is a minor criticism since its nothing I can't fix with slightly thicker socks.
In addition the color says "burgundy" but they are more of a cordovan color I think. It would be nice to see a true burgundy (oxblood) pair of these shoes.
Of course, if you have very narrow feet, these may be the shoes for you. They look great, but because they didn't fit, I cannot comment on their durability. I did notice some of the 'plastic' look/effect that other reviewers have mentioned, but that may very well break in with extended wear.
Each pair I buy lasts me two years or so. Moderate use, but sometimes strenuous use and they just rock on.
I never liked breaking them in but its worth the pain and effort once they are broken in (5-10 full day uses does the trick).
Seriously though, at the price point the quality is second to none.
