We got these containers specifically for them being leak proof, which is sadly not true.
The size is great and the closing mechanism, too but them not being leak proof is definitely a turndown.

I bought a set of these (all three sizes) to use for sous-viding as I am concerned about the plastic leaching chemicals (yes, the temperature is lower, but not 100% sure it's safe, so better safe than sorry). These work great!!!!! I've had them for a couple of months now, and while occasionally water will leak in, for the most part, it doesn't, and the meat cooks perfectly fine even with the air in the top of the container. You can even sous-vide the meat, then put the container into the fridge. And they're way easier to clean and reuse than plastic sous-vide bags.

The only issue I have is that when they cool down, the seal is REALLY strong. I've had to pry them open with a knife. So crack them open a bit while they're cooling

I want to buy a stainless steel container for my son to bring his hot lunch to school. He doesn't like thermo. I bought this product because it's leak proof. It has a silicon band at the cover so amazingly it really doesn't leak. I take 1 star out because the band doesn't stay. So at school, when my son opens his lunch, then the band will come off. So it takes some effort to put the cover back when he finishes his lunch. I usually tell him to put everything back to a zip lock bag when he is done. Otherwise, I like the product as it's good size and I don't like using plastic.

My wife loves this container so much she had me order her a smaller one so she could take breakfast and lunch to work. It is leakproof, she has taken soup before and had no issues with it, and it’s very easy to wash. She doesn’t like to use the microwave, so she ordered these containers and a travel oven (really a lunch bag with a heating plate inside) she puts her container in it about 30-45 minutes before lunch and its hot and ready to eat.
