Top customer reviews
My only complaint is that the packaging does not list my socket (LGA 775 -- a 4-year old system) even though it is compatible. But a quick e-mail return from the vendor verified that it is fine -- and it is. Vendor response in this regard was excellent -- within minutes!
This is the best memory kit I have used so far; I'm currently using it on an ECS 790 AMD board with an AMD Phenom II X4 955 CPU and 1 Sapphire 6870 PCI-E card.
After replacing my regular 8GB RAM (Not matched just 2x2GB RAM)with this Dual channel Kit my windows 7 rating and 3dMark11 score went up and my system "feels" faster.
There are a million articles telling everyone, and their second cousin twice removed, about how many thousandths of a second faster one set of memory is over another one.
And if you have a program that REALLY relies on very fast memory you might save a hundredth of a second here and there. I'm serious. Check it out.
For people who are after the fastest game system that they can get, go ahead and buy the fastest system memory you can afford.
You aren't going to notice it though. The speed of the memory in your video cards is FAR FAR more important then your system memory for just about everything that people (scientist excluded) use a computer for. But, hay, ain't it great to brag?
"See that! I'm 2 hundredth of a second faster than you. Hahahaha. And it only cost me an extra $200!" "HAY, ARE YOU LAUGHIN AT ME!"
So just what did I get out of this DDR3 memory? Rock solid performance day after day and a Windows 7 performance score of 7.6 out of a best possible score of 7.9.
Me? I'm very satisfied.
Oh. My video card memory? It's DDR5. :)
this is a really well made product and the feel is way better than any photo. it runs reasonably cool at low voltage, it's inexpensive, and if you are upgrading an older system you really can't go wrong with these (unless you don't check compatibility LOL).
Oh! And the price isn't bad either! Such a great buy!
