The only reason I rate this a 4 star and not a 5 is for the fact that these are fairly new still and the G.Skill software still conflicts with Gigabyte Aorus lighting software, and apparently asus as well from forums I have read? Nevertheless, hopefully G.Skill will get on this and fix it soon so those who spent the money for this RAM can truly customize it without the system crashing.
For those of you buying a Gigabyte Aorus motherboard with RGB lighting, especially the Gigabyte Aorus Gaming 7 Threadripper Motherboard... I HIGHLY recommend using the Gigabyte APP Center and downloading RGB Fusion through it currently. They have updated it recently and it now controls the RAM, Graphics Card, and Motherboard RGBs. However, it will not control the RAM RGBs as specifically as the G.Skill software can. BUT in the mean time it will suffice until G.Skill gets their app fixed. :) Hopefully soon!
I am using this on the threadripper 2950x and when I switch to Gaming mode, the latency drops to 70ns (also the bandwidth drops by 2), which also meets expectations. I am going to use this memory in Creator mode (all 16 cores), and the latency is higher but glad to know that memory is working fine.
The RAM is great, RGB syncs well with Asus Aura, I have not utilized the G.SKill software as I like the RAM sync'd with the rest of my RGB setup.
The only negative I have for this RAM is the price (although it has come down since my first purchase) and the RAM is HEAVY ... however not a challenge on the install with the Prime X299.
Sucks my first order was dead on arrival but was happy with the no Hassle reorder and return

Currently i'm unable to make use of 3200 at its timings, that's mainly due to using a 1700X and x370 board.
Have a look into discussions about RAM bandwidth(speed/MHz of the RAM) and cas latency. As there seems to be a difference of performance between having a great timing(cas latency) vs. great bandwidth(MHz). See which one your main application may require, and purchase accordingly. Though for games i'd just look for decently high MHz and a respectable CAS latency.
Oh and I guess the RGB is kind of cool.
-It's just as fast and honestly cheaper than Corsair's RGB RAM, though not by much.
-Slick-looking brushed metal heatsink
-The angle of the cooling fins makes it somewhat painful on your fingers when seating.
-The metal grinds against the metal on the other sticks and is awful to hear and feel.
-The lighting doesn't span the diffuser and you can clearly see where the LEDs are. They're not evenly-spaced.
-Lighting often doesn't work, even after multiple hours of troubleshooting. Research reveals it to be a common issue.
-Color is somewhat washed-out and lights aren't very bright.
