I bought this RAM years ago. When I was ready for an upgrade, I decided to purchase the same exact set to avoid any incompatibilities. After installing the new set, my computer would not boot. I thought I got a bad stick, but when I took out the old sticks, the new sticks worked just fine by themselves. Having old and new together did not work which made no sense because all 4 chips are identical except for age. I couldn't even get into BIOS. So I decided to clear CMOS. That allowed me into BIOS and the full amount of RAM was being reported, yay! I reset my date/time and rebooted. Unfortunately, could not boot or get into BIOS again??? Cleared CMOS again and this time when I was in BIOS, I changed the RAM frequency from Auto to 1600. Reset date/time and rebooted. Could finally boot into Windows and full amount of RAM was reported in there too. No idea why 2 sticks works with Auto Frequency and 3 or 4 sticks needed the settings to be tweaked.

Motherboard is ASUS M4A77TD. Hope this helps someone out.

I already buyed a couple Corsair XMS3 4 GB PC3-12800 DDr3 Memory Kit for my P55 UD3 (gigabyte) and din't work at all, from the first use failed, but this memory are awesome, flawless, i have my PC Core i5 750 @ 3.2 Ghz OC with this memory and my Pc rigth now is a super sonic jet!!! if you have a Gigabyte p55 this memory you must have.

Note: if you want this memory at 1600 Mhz you must choose "profile 1" and the memory Bios Setting XMP, defult run at 1333 MHZ.

This is the second set of this memory I've bought and all 4 sticks have been working like champs with issues. I switched to G.Skill from Kingston due to being plagued with memory failures on Kingston memory. I got tired of RMAing the same memory sticks over and over again, and it just became uneconomical after awhile. It's sad to see such a big company that used to manufacture their own memory chips, resort to using garbage foreign parts and slap their name on it. I have some old SIMMs from way back when they still made their own RAM, and they're still running strong.

Also, the listed specs on this RAM is wrong. Most retailers I've seen list this as 1.8v memory, which is incorrect. The memory runs at 1.5v (standard DDR3 voltage.)

Solid ram. No flaws. Works the way it should. I got before this some cheap ram that did nothing good for the system. Then I realized it was the ram after a rather difficult time trying to figure it out. Swapped out the old ram and put this in since it was approved by the mobo maker. Puter immediately behaved itself. Never go cheap on ram, trust me!

I ordered 3 pairs of this ram and of them, only one set was reported as 1600 by my system. The other two reported as 1333 and one chip in each set was defective. After RMA'ing all three sets, my system will not boot with one set installed and the other two still register as 1333. When I contacted support all I got was a run around and no real help. Spend a little more a buy a quality brand of ram.

Replaced an A.Data kit with similar specs but one stick was having errors, and it took me like 3 weeks to track the problem down. First and last time A.Data buyer for sure. Always check both sticks first thing when you receive a kit in the mail.
