It is good for gaming, beware that the “Clicky” switch option is VERY clicky. It appears to be an imitation cherry mix blue switch (Long Hua Blue Switch) and is the clickiest switch I think I have ever felt/used. Typing and gaming are both satisfying, and the black body looks sleek and sharp. Another con to add, though, is that there is no number lock or scroll lock indicators! This is the weirdest thing about it, and can get confusing on whether number lock or scroll lock is on or off. I think this is partially due to the USB pass through on the back of the keyboard (which does require an extra USB slot on the back of your keyboard), but who knows. I would way rather have the indicators then a USB pass through, but that’s just my opinion. The cable feels kinda cheap, it’s hardwired, and USB-A. The cable in a kind of cheap rubber housing, and is a little long but it’s better to be too long then too short. Overall it’s a average keyboard for starters who are looking to dip their feet into a true mechanical keyboard experience for the first time.

The keyboard worked great for 2 years until I started noticing some buttons did not always trigger a press or trigger a double press instead. Some of these faulty buttons were used heavily as hotkeys in games and I would expect they start acting up, but there are other buttons too not triggering a press 100% that I have no explanation why. And since the switches are not replaceable I will need a new keyboard soon.

I got this keyboard when it was on sale at $49.99. It was a steal and I would've gladly paid the full $99 for it. The keyboard feels very well built and the keys feel and sound great. I love the tactile feel of the keys and the sound just feels very satisfying. A good bonus is the Logitech G software that lets me easily control the lighting features and sync it to my Logitech G703 mouse. The USB passthrough is also a handy feature (though I can't really use it since my laptop doesn't have enough USB ports to support the second cable needed for passthrough to work).

The other nice touches would be the switches in the keyboard. Since I got the GX Blue Clicky ones it has the same switch shape as cherry switches. Meaning I can swap out the keycaps with keycaps for Cherry MX keyboards if I wanted to. Also, the cable management spaces under the keyboard are useful.

My only nitpick is that I find the keystrokes to be just a little bit too loud. It's not a deal-breaker at all since it is supposed to sound like MX Blues. These can also be easily remedied with O-rings for a few bucks extra.

Overall, I would highly recommend this mechanical gaming keyboard for the high build quality, the satisfying keystrokes, the easy lighting customizations, and a few of the other useful features.

Not so good for typing or data entry (unless you pay SUPER close attention). Been working from home during the COVID and have to watch the excel like a hawk. Extra 0-9's is baaaaaad news. Easy to catch in Outlook and Word. No idea if this is a hardware or software issue.

Like the USB connector for the mouse. Would prefer that they pay the license fee and make it USB 3.0/3.1 and add a second connector. Help a gamer out and let this be a quasi hub on my desk.

Corsair can do it and at a similar price point.

I bought the clicky keyboard. It's definitely loud. It reminds me more of the Chicony keyboards than the Rohmer does only the click seems to be faster and maybe louder but it's been 20-25 years since I used one. The action is not soft; it takes more than a light press to type. Since I would love to have the Chicony click experience again, I am quite happy. The backlight has four brightness levels and there is a lot of color gradient in the G Hub app where you set the colors and styles. I would like for the symbols to be colored white instead of gray. Gray is tasteful and doesn't compete with the lights, but it would be nice to be able to see them better. It looks like only the top is aluminum. The bottom which wraps around the sides appears to be a heavy plastic. In my opinion, aluminum is just cosmetic anyway unless there is some need to have a heavier keyboard to keep it from sliding.

Great keyboard with one gripe

Firstly this is a fantastic keyboard! The clicky default keys feel great and overall build quality is good, only two keys that don't feel perfect are enter and backspace. They aren't as crisp, but passable. Also lots of fun RGB light settings are available and customisable.

My one gripe with it is in all the advertising and pictures it shows the fn/media keys on the bottom side of the f keys light up, but they don't at least not anymore, it is now just printed on the key. It's minor but I actually use those controls. I may contact them and see if they are willing to ship me some that light up rather than just being printed on.

Ideally the G915 is the perfect keyboard for me but not worth $250, so the G512/G513 is a great second choice after having typed on a few competitors and using steelseries for awhile.

Estoy muy satisfecho con el teclado. Desde hace tiempo estaba buscando un teclado mecánico pues le doy mucha importancia a la retroalimentación del teclado.

Una cosa que me quita mucho tiempo es un teclado que no tiene una distribución adecuada como los de la mayoría de las laptop hoy en día, precisamente por eso compré el teclado y su distribución separando adecuadamente teclas direccionales, el teclado numérico y las teclas como suprimir, inicio, fin, avanzar y retroceder página me ha ayudado mucho a escribir y usar el teclado sin pensar y sin contratiempos.

En lo particular el ruido del teclado no me molesta pero estoy seguro que más de uno de mis compañeros en la oficina puede llegar a quejarse. Es un poco ruidoso. También depende mucho del ímpetu con el que se esté escribiendo.

Los materiales son de muy buena calidad y la aplicación para configurar el cambio de colores también resulta útil, aunque realmente solo necesito que se retroilumnen las teclas, no tanto en tener un arcoiris en el teclado.

NOTA: Este producto tiene las teclas en inglés. Yo he configurado el teclado en español latinoamericano y no tengo ningún problema, a excepción de que le faltan las teclas entre el shift y la Z para el "<" y ">" y una tecla junto al enter para el "]" y "}"

Es un buen teclado, aun que tuve un detalle con la configuración por default del color de las teclas, no puedo cambiar el color, si pides soporte en la pagina de Logitech, no existe el modelo Logitech G512 SE. el cable es muy grueso y pesado. en comparación con otros de la misma marca.

Los materiales son buenos, el switch azul se siente mejor de lo que pensé, pensé que serian mas ruidosos, por cierto le puse o-rings, lo malo es que no todo el ruido se disipa. por eso preferiría los Switch red.

La iluminación de los teclados logitech, simplemente es la mejor. las funciones del teclado funcionan sin tener el software, incluso la configuración se peude conservar a cualquier equipo sin el Logitech Ghub o el Logitech Gaming Software , es compatible con ambas. aun que como mencione tuve un problema.

En general, yo lo compre cuando estaba a 1,200 pesos aprox y por ese precio, no conozco una alternativa mejor.

Es un excelente teclado de buena calidad. Lo compré principalmente para escribir, pero también lo utilizo para algunos juegos. Por ejemplo League of Legends y Valorant.

Es muy cómodo de utilizar y es muy resistente, en comparación a otros teclados.
Las luces son muy buenas y se pueden programar a través del software de Logitech.

También se pueden programar macros, pero aún no lo he intentado.

Es un teclado relativamente pesado y grande. Sigue siendo portátil, pero hay que tener eso en cuenta si deseas trasladarte de un lugar a otro, por eso recomiendo guardar la caja o comprar un artículo especial para eso.

En cuanto al sonido de las teclas, a mí me gusta, aunque hay que reconocer que el sonido es bastante notable y puede distraer a otros.

Sin embargo, no es nada grave. De hecho, este modelo está diseñado para eso. No es un defecto o un error.

El cable es fijo y bastante resistente.

Si quieres tener un buen teclado gamer, a buen precio y de calidad, lo recomiendo 100%.

Como teclado mecánico es muy bueno y es de excelente calidad, uso uno Cherry MX Brown y la verdad es que los GX Blue me dejaron una mejor sensación a pesar de ser mas ruidosos y el hecho de que aun usen la misma entrada de teclas que los Cherry MX me parece muy bueno por si quieres cambiar alguna tecla sin buscar demasiado.

La calidad del teclado se ve excelente, no viene lleno de accesorios y esta versión no viene con cable trenzado pero aun asi se siente bastante solido.

Le encuentro 2 problemas muy grandes que para mi son suficientes para devolverlo:

1. Los simbolos secundarios de cada tecla no se iluminan. Inclusive en la publicación de Amazon se pueden ver como las teclas tienen todos sus símbolos iluminados pero esto solo pasa con el g513 y a mi me parece muy molesto.

2. No se puede remapear ninguna tecla más que la fila F1-F12 y eso implica perder su funcionalidad nativa. Ademas de eso cuentas con una tecla FN que te permite controlar volumen, luz, modo de juego y ya porque las demas funcionalidades se pierden si usas GHUB. Pero el problema es que no puedes usar la tecla FN como una tecla Alt-G para usar, por ejemplo, un macro en la tecla FN+F1 sin perder la funcion nativa de F1.

Básicamente todo se reduce a que logitech te dice que puedes personalizar tus teclas pero unicamente puedes hacerlo con 12 y no puedes agregar funcionalidad extra si no reemplazarla y te dan una tecla FN que solo puede hacer 5 cosas en vez de permitirte usarla para combinarla con cualquier otra tecla de tu teclado y obtener mas funciones.
