Initial Design.As with all of Nemesis Now's exclusively designed products their creation process starts with idea and concept artworks and once the artwork has been fine-tuned it is sent to HBO for approval. Knowing the series inside and out, they make the final decision on any artworks that are submitted by their designers. If they have the green light it is time to turn the images into 3D prototypes. |
3D Design and Printing.Using a combination of 3D Printing and traditional hand sculpting, the 2D product design is turned into a 3D sculpture, using both science and exquisite craftmanship. Taking every single detail of the art, the 3D Sculptors intricately lift the image until a model can be printed using a state-of-the-art 3D printing machine. |
Traditional Sculpting.Traditional sculpting is used to embellish the product. With hand sculpted adornments, they can successfully achieve a look that is both sleek yet also rustic. Adding delicate details with this method creates a characteristic that cannot be obtained through 3D printing, making the piece return to life (much like the white walkers beyond the wall). |
Hand-Painting.After being cast in the finest resin, it is time for the final step. Each of their products is lovingly hand-painted to ensure that the finest finish is achieved. Using a multitude of different colours and techniques, the final product must bring to life the vision of the initial designs. Every stage of the process is reviewed and critiqued by their expert product developers, working alongside HBO throughout, to ensure that the finished creation is perfect for release. |

Ok so first off this is absolutely gorgeous. They did a fantastic job on the detail. The inside being removable is nice so it’s easy to clean, and it’s pretty light weight. It’s not plastic but it’s something close, I never looked at what they said it was made of. My only negative is the handle is pretty small considering it’s such a large cup, BUT it is a sturdy handle. It’s just a touch uncomfortable since it’s rather small. Other then that it’s perfect for a collectible and it’s great for actual use.
