I am a 63 year old male. I used to play with an onix Z5 and loved it, but I found that the Gamma Shard was much better at the net. The paddle feels softer but doesn’t seem to give up power. I spin the ball a lot and this paddle even seems to add more spin. The Gamma grips are also far superior. Overall, the paddle is well worth the money.

I have used the Gamma (collegiate) Twister, Voltage 2.0 and Needle, the Jester feels like a good combination of those paddles mentioned. It's similar to the twister but slightly thicker. I wish the surface was more textured like the voltage 2.0 for better spins. The Needle was around the same weight but due to the elongated shape, it felt heavier (for me). It bothered my elbow a bit. Anyways, I started using the Jester and love it. Thinking about get another one when there's a sale.

I had a Wilson surge previously that I also liked very much but control was weak. The handle is not octagon shape as most paddle I suppose, but still very comfortable and I found it easy to get used to it.
