Product Description

The "BONE COLLECTOR" .177 and .22 caliber air rifles. These air rifles are specially designed in collaboration with Michael Waddell and Travis “T Bone” Turner of the "BONE COLLECTOR" TV series. Each gun is built on a special hunter forest green composite stock with dark grey rubber grip inserts. The "Bone Collector" logo is prominently shown on both sides of the synthetic high-grade stock. Both models utilize the advanced Gamo G1000 spring piston power plant which drives the new .177 cal. Platinum Ballistic Alloy PBA hunting rounds at up to 1250 fps. Each Single Cocking System, Spring Piston break barrel is fitted and tuned with the famous Gamo ND52 noise dampening system which reduces muzzle noise up to 52%. The special precision rifled steel barrels are composite jacketed to reduce weight and deliver tack-driving accuracy.

I bought this for my husband for Christmas and he absolutely loves it. The only problem he has is with the scope. We have been trying to reach Gamo to find out how to replace it and we get no response. He has called them twice with no response.

I went through 3 different rifles before I heard about the "bone collector" series. Great quality, accurate to 60yds, highly recommend this product. Easy to sight. Great for younger and older hunters alike.

This rifle is AWESOME! We gave it to our son for Christmas 2012. We have since shot hundreds of rounds through it. On Christmas day, my son went out on the porch and shot at his new targets and the look on my neighbors face as he heard the *CRACK* of the rifle was too funny! He peeked his head over and all I could do is say "SORRY!" The other reviews are correct. This thing is as loud as a .22. We purchased it believing it had some sort of silencer attachment that allowed it to be quieter, but this is NOT the case. We are still very pleased with the purchase. I'm not sure why the price is so high now. $329? We paid $184. Maybe they were priced wrong. We went to Bass Pro shops during Christmas and I used my smartphone to check prices. At the time, Amazon had the lowest price by over $100. The going rate at Bass Pro Shops and area stores was about what Amazon is charging now. Maybe we caught them at a great time, but it makes our purchase even more appealing!

First off, This rifle is excellent. Next, you will read a lot of reviews saying how this rifle isn't quiet, or it sounds like a .22 rifle. First of all, when you first pull a well manufactured airgun out of the box, the mechanism and barrel will be well oiled. At the high pressures that are produced in the spring chamber and in the barrel, the oil will ignite for the first few shots letting off a loud crack. Second, any low weight non-lead pellets put through this rifle will go supersonic, including the PBA rounds that come with it. When the pellet breaks the sound barrier upon leaving the muzzle, this also makes a loud crack followed by a report. Once the rifle is broken in and you are firing lead pellets that are over 8.0 grains, this airgun is significantly quieter than comparable powered air rifles. I will say that the scope that comes with it is quite terrible.

The rifle is a great performer alittle heavy, does shoot normal pellets below the normal noise level. PBA pellets are loud almost like a 22 cal long rifle pistol I own. Only thing I have a problem with was the rifle scope, the cross hairs started to spin inside the scope. At first I thought the scope mounting screws were lose, but after checking all the mounting screws, I removed the scope and sure enough the inside of the scope was turning each time I fired the rifle. Pissed off I tossed it and ordered a new scope. If this scope or the one one the Varmit Hunter brakes during use no more Gamo products for me, I mean you spend somewhere around $700.00. A customer expects thier money's worth. Yea I know I should have sent the broken scope back, but after carefully looking at how this thing was assembled with what looked like hot glue, well you know in the trash. You live and learn. Two Guns good so far one scope still ok so far, One in scope in the trash and One new $80-$90.00 scope replacement.

I bought this rare rifle on impulse because of how cool it looks and the fact that Gamo is a very well known brand. in the past I've purchased several break action pellet rifles. they all seem to be hit n miss. the Bone Collector however was very easy to sight in it took me about 15 minutes. a lot of people are complaining that the scope it comes with the rifle is not sufficient I beg to differ. it has definitely served it's purpose does far with me. with weighted lead pellets this rifle would be easy to use in the city without disturbing neighbors. however I would refrain from using PBA pellets in a city setting as they travel faster than the speed of sound and resemble the sound from a 22. I personally live in the city and only use PBA pellets when in the woods hunting.

I received this rifle for Christmas 2010.It is well built. You can use this rifle any where you would a .22.The only drawback is it cost twelve cents a pellet, and is just as loud as a .22,since it is super sonic. You can use a less expensive lead pellet, but it is less powerful.Having said this,I still love it.L.H.

This is a pore excuse of a pellet rifle. Apparently this is a common problem with this model having read several other reviews. I too have replaced the scope, after finding I couldn't site it in at 50'. Upon further trials I found the scope in small increments works it's way back down the dovetail, to the butt of the rifle. I even glued it. It broke the glue. I've had a Daisy 880 with field sights, that's 20 years old. Hits the bullseye every time still. With the money I spent for this hunk of junk (Bone Collector). I could have bought 4 daisy 880's for the price of the Bone Collector. Save your money, and time.
