There is no complaining about this switch at this price point. It is simple, lightweight, and works without power. The buttons feel ever so slightly cheapish, but I don't foresee an issue with that.
I have a Wii and PS2 hooked up to it via component. I have a 3DO hooked up to it via composite. I bought this because my new TV only has a combo component/composite input. Unfortunately when I switch to the 3DO with it's composite output, the TV only displays black and white video. This is because the component connection on the TV that the yellow composite video is hooked to still registers it as a component device. If I remove the other component video cables it will register as composite and show a great picture (for composite, at least).
That's the TV's fault though. This is the cheapest component switch I've found and I'm content with it. Five stars for doing what it's supposed to do with no power and at a cheap price point.

One of the inputs is bad, but I only need two of them. This works well otherwise. It does feel a bit light, I wouldn't be surprised if quality was sacrificed for profit under the plastic case. If you are really serious about your video quality, I'd consider doing a bit of a research, but for the rest of us, it works well.
The good: requires no power. 4 inputs, each being all on the back side of the unit. Overall looks nice.
The bad: inputs feel weak, one already doesn't work.
Tips: Use good cables, some of the ones out there now have very little wire in them, compared to how the cables were made. If you have video issues, keep trying different cables. I spent good money on some cables that turned out to be bad. Amazon basics seems to make good stuff as far as cables go, so give them a try. I'm using component cables from the cable company for my setup, and they are really heavy, connections are tight.
Connectors should have resistance going into the inputs.
I'm using this to switch between a wii (original) and an xbox (original) and it is currently working great. I like to have all systems hooked up at once so I don't have to move cables.
Overall I recommend this switch, there could be better at this price point, but this works. I nicked a star for having a bad connection out of the box.

Was good for when I had multiple video game systems from the era when RGBRW was the most hi-def they'd output as, a lot more convenient than constantly switching the cords into the TV, so it meant cords could be tucked away in a box behind the entertainment system. The output being RGBRW is kind of a bummer though, as the difference between it and HDMI is really stark on modern TVs, and means you'd have to go through extra steps to make it backwards compatible with RWY TVs. It's very useful, but I don't have a use for mine any longer as I've finished all my old games for the older systems I had.

Not much to say other than this is a functional, manual switch box for component video/audio cables. The price is right, and it appears sturdy enough. I saw others on Amazon that were powered costing much, much more. Presumably, they are powered for a remote control and lights showing which station is connected. If you want to spend three times as much for those bells and whistles, be my guest. Putting aside price, the fact this is passive and not powered is a bonus to me. The idea of keeping a switch box plugged in 24/7 seems foolish.
What put me in the market for this device? I had to buy a new TV, which seem to come these days with a surplus of HDMI ports, but a deficit of legacy component and composite RCA input jacks. This gadget is a great way to keep my legacy gear in use (eg. daughter's Wii console; DVD/CD player).

I bought this product to switch between 4 component inputs because my TV only had one input.
I did not want anything fancy like having a remote or one that is powered that requires a power source, just a push button component switch.
Its easy to install. Simply hook up the items (like dvd player, gaming consoles, etc.) to the inputs on the back of the switch, and then have one component cable (not included) running from the back of the switch to the input in the tv and VIOLA its done!
The only complaint I have is that you have to make sure all of the cables running from the output of the switch to the input of the tv are securely in. I had one video cable slighly loose and no picture was sent at all for some reason.
Cheap, easy, efficient. Great buy!

Works just as expected! I ordered this so I would stop being asked to switch the cables on the back of the tv every time my kids wanted to switch from playing their Wii to watching a DVD. It does require a cable to go from the box to the TV, something we didn't realize until we got it, but had we thought about it, we should have known. That's the only reason I give this 4 stars as it took us quite some time to dig through old cable boxes to find a set that would work.
But now it is all setup and everyone can use it, even my 6 year old.

I have multiple "old" video game systems that use the component ports and only one set of component inputs on my
Westinghouse 19" LCD 720p 60Hz HDTV | LTV-19W6
. I ordered one of these and was able to have all of them linked up with a simple push-button interface with minimal (if any) lag.
4 stars because it's not "blow me away" enough to have 5. Strange as it sounds it'd be nice if that little black plastic strip would light up to correspond to whatever system is selected.

There's not much to say about this other tha it simply works as advertised. Being un-powered, it doesn't have any automatic switching capability or LEDs to indicate which input is selected. However, because it is a just a simple switch box, it is quite inexpensive ($14.79 when I purchased)and I expect that it will last a long time. One nice aspect to it is that it only requires a light press on the buttons to switch inputs, so even though the unit is faily light, you won't jostle the position of the switch box too much when pushing the buttons.

Not a bad unit feels very light and somewhat cheap but it does the job switching RGB components. I have a Wii, PS2, Xbox and NeoGeo all hooked up to this and it does a fine job switching on my Sharp Aquos T.V
