It is physically smaller than the one I replaced, but it actually holds more clothes and has many more digital options that add a versatility that I've never had to wash specialized loads (blood, grease, jeans only, etc.). Also, it is programmable with more settings than my smart phone and runs quiet as a mouse! Additionally, it has a sensor that can sense the level of clothes in it and automatically, fills the tub to the proper level. Great for those "in between" loads. Well worth what I paid for it.

We purchased this machine 2 and a half years ago and it is already broken. The inside drum over filled to the top (it has an automatic shut off when the water gets to the selected level.) Somehow it filled all the way to the very top and the cables inside the machine snapped.

Beware of GE Appliances

Bought new GE clothes washer I November. It has never worked. I have to wash clothes or spin again several times before the load is done. GE has sent a representative out three times. The first time they blamed my floor for being dirty because they found a little dog hair against a leg, not under it. The floor had been mopped the day before putting the new unit in. The second time they blamed their installer for not balancing the unit correctly. They fixed it. Next time, they blamed their installer again for putting the drain hose too far in the wall creating a suction that drew water out of the unit. I cannot wash my clothes without three attempts. It is now March and I bought the unit in November. They said it takes a minimum of 6 try’s before I can complain about it. In addition, I have been on holdup to 2 hours to get a representative on the phone. BEWARE of GE appliances.

Horrible SMELL!!!!

We have had the unit fot about 3 years. We leave it open so it doent mildew. We run the clean cycle with their pellets. It has started to smell like rotten EGGS! We now ran bleach through it… no deal. Calling a service tech to help us. Maytag site no help. HORRIBLE!!!

Load Balancing Doesn't Work

This washing machine appears incapable of balancing a load properly, so the spin cycle is completely ineffective. Clothes are not just damp, but sopping wet. Attempts to rebalance loads are time consuming and messy. The dripping wet clothes have to be removed one by one, getting water all over the floor, then replaced flat, one on top of the other before starting the cycle again.

I estimate that 80% of the loads I have run (and I’ve had this washer since December, 2020), have resulted in a load balancing problem. It is difficult to understand how GE could have missed such a glaring issue.
