OK, I'm probably one of the few people on earth who haven't used a food processor. I was needing to make large batches of home made dog food and my blender was not cutting it. This machine is wonderful. I highly recommend it. Haven't had it for a long time but I find it easy to use and very efficient. Sure has made my life easier.
Update- Still loving it. It's a workhorse. Great machine!

Disappointed. Would NOT recommend.
I usually love & have good luck with GE products. We really needed a replacement food processor and after many hours of researching, we decided to go with this model. I love that it has more power & a mini bowl.I mistakenly assumed you’d be able to shred into the smaller bowl; you can’t, only chop.What I’m really disappointed in is the size of the round blades. They are very sharp, but are too small in diameter. They do not go all the way to the rim of the bowl. This allowed many large pieces of carrots and onions to be flung to the side and not get shredded.Our next test is making a pie crust.*UPDATE: May 19, 2022. Just got an email back from manufacturer. They were sorry it was disappointing. They must not have paid attention to the product’s purpose…to make food prep quicker & easier. Their suggested solution to the large pieces flinging out of the chute was to cut the pieces even smaller! We tried veggies & cheeses. I didn’t waste my time trying to do a pie crust. I have been cooking for over 45 years and when I get a new appliance, I READ the manual! I agree with what other viewers have said, this company used to be great. Now they design cheaper products, use inferior materials, and obviously don’t test their products anymore. The slightest amount of downward pressure needed to shred or grate, bends the disks allowing the food to get flung out and not shredded. Didn’t think I had to test right out of the box. Now it’s too late to return.
