Installation is only marginally more involved than a "dumb" toggle switch replacement. Be careful following the diagrams in GE's instructions, because the labels change (e.g. "wire B" in one diagram may be "wire A" in another). However if you pay close attention and are comfortable working with power in your home, setup is a breeze. It took some working with old wires to get the switches to fit in a smaller 50-year-old gang box, but was still only 15 or 20 minutes for two switches. (An obligatory caution for those who haven't done basic electrical work before: amperage is unforgiving: you can only mess up once!)
All in all, I couldn't be happier with this foire into the world of smart home automation. I look forward to the next sale so I can buy a bunch more.
Note that this looks about like a regular toggle switch, except if you're trying to match "dumb" toggle switches, there are a few differences. First, the toggle (switch) itself doesn't stay up or down like a regular toggle switch; it's always in the middle. Second, I find it very thin compared to other toggle switches (even the cheap ones--and definitely much thinner and smaller than most 20-amp or "commercial"-grade toggles). Both of these make it strand out a bit from the "dumb" toggle I have next to this one in a two-gang box, but I didn't want to use a paddle switch, so I still think this is better. It also appears to only come in white, and there is no plate included, so you'll need to provide your own (shouldn't be a problem if you're replacing an existing switch, as you can just re-use that--preferably a white plate if you want it to match).
Finally, note that this switch is a Z-Wave switch. GE has recently (as of early 2018, probably released in the last year) released a line of similar-looking Z-Wave Plus switches. Unless you don't care about the difference or find a good price on these compared to those and decide it's worth it, I'd probably get the Plus switches instead just to have a more current Z-Wave implementation. Otherwise, there's certainly no problem with these.
a SmartThings rule that said when the switch turns on then turn on all the Hue lights in the basement but because it took so long after switching on the switch before SmartThings updated the status I would usually have time to walk all the way down and then have to stand and wait for the lights to come on.
I have three of these circuits in my house, all professionally installed, and they work like a charm. Can be programmed into "scenes", can be monitored and turned on/off with my smartphone, and can be tied to events (one of these circuits is illuminating the view for security cameras). Yes, they integrate very well into ADT Pulse.

Thinking about buying a few more to regulate other outdoor lighting around sunset/sunrise.
Switch feels a little "plasticky".
