Editorial Reviews

"One of the best youth books I've read in a long time!  "Hazardous List" grabs you from the first page and catapults you back to Germany in 1938. It is rare that I so swallowed up with a story that I feel like I was really there. I've always wondered how it experienced the German citizens who knew that something was wrong.  By using real life stories of those who have been through the,  Lee Strauss paints a bleak picture of fear and will to survive. Your characters look real, jump from the page and come to life. " Steven Davenport

"This book provides an  extremely heartbreaking  and realistic look at World War II from a different perspective,  from someone in Hitler's army, who asked not to be there. We hear so often of the atrocities against the Jews, but there is not much literature on the daily lives of non-Jewish Germans, especially those who did not agree with Hitler.  Told from the perspective of a child who grows up in the worst possible time for young adults,  this book is great reading material for teens and adults. " Valerie A. Baute

From the Author
