I read to be entertained, and what can I say, I just didn't like it. The book tried to explain away how human beings came to be on earth with some sort of made up, unbelievable scenario with map coordinates similar to the word "Genesis", living beings controlling the fate of the universe dressed remarkably like the modern day image of God in flowing white robes with long beards, thick flowing white hair, etc. handing out directions to more early beings that were followed as if they were the word of God. It just didn't ring true enough to be believable, and I like my Science Fiction to at least be possible so that I can believe in the story. In the end if just felt as if the writer had something against religion and had a point to prove and tried to hide it - not very stealthily as it turns out - in a poorly written science fiction novel. Not recommended if you either like a ring of truth in your Science Fiction, or if you have any faith and aren't really interested in some poorly thought out attack on that faith.
