I would recommend this book to certain people. I do not think it is for everybody. The type of people I would recommend this book to those who do not know much about negotiating. I think this is a great beginner’s guide to learn how to make deals and such. Diamond’s stories are quite interesting and apply all these tools and strategies very well. This is a great technique to learn what you can accomplish through the examples portrayed in this book.
I would not recommend this book to people who have a high standard in learning to negotiate. This book does not go into extreme detail. It does not define every tool to its fullest. I know some that when some people read self-help books they want word for word a guide that they can follow. Some Like the structured rules and guideline on how to do things. This book uses thought enhancing stories and examples to connect with what he talks about.
What I really enjoyed about this book was the tone of voice, the stories, and the helpful tips that I did not think of before. Something’s I did not like about the book was the repetitiveness and sometimes there were too many stories that made my mind wander instead of focusing on what the author was trying to say.
