Bought this laptop because it's one of the few models available with latest 40 series Nvidia GPU. The mechanical and anesthetics of the laptop is pretty good, high precision, full solid metal body, lightweight and comfortable to hold. The OLED 16:10 4k screen is amazing, one of the best you can buy atm. The fan noise is ok under light load, comparable to a macbook. Ports are plenty, case is easy to open, and it has 2 mem slots / 2 ssd slots for upgrade.
But it also has several flaws: 1) Crappy trackpad clicks, feels loud and hollow, so much that I really want avoid clicking on it. What a pity. 2) Speakers not very good, sound cheap and no depth. Although this is a thin and light laptop, the speakers on ipad / iphone sound better, let alone macbook. 3) Crappy software, not very easy to use and freeze / crash all the time, feel half baked. And some bloatwares that I need uninstall.
Overall still a good laptop for everyday work and gaming. Will see how it holds up long term.
Update:
Regarding charging with USB-C / PD, it requires 60W+ USB-C charger, which means the macbook 13's charger won't work, but macbook 16's 85W / 96W USB-C charger can change it. However, when charging by USB-C, the video card will be throttled and very slow in video games. So you still have to bring the heavy power brick for games.
