Compact - It's tiny compared to my previous 15" laptops
Full sized keyboard - Awesome for work
Relatively understated looks - Another work related pro
Powerful CPU and, especially, GPU
Thermals/Cooling - I've been putting it through its paces consistently and it doesn't disappoint and this is without a cooler (at the moment)
Noise - Compared to my previous MSI and Dell laptops it's a night and day improvement
MUX switch - for when you want to go all out performance wise
SSD is small
GPU TDP is limited to 105 - Not a personal issue for me given the thermal and noise performance
No Ryzen option
HDMI not directly connected to GPU (mitigated somewhat by MUX switch)
Battery life - it's not a con for me per say as I'm always connected while working/playing
No thunderbolt connection
Would have preferred the power, display and HDMI ports at the rear
Essentially, if Ryzen is not a must have then the 15G XC is the best laptop from a price : performance : features perspective
A couple of the ports are in an odd place though... the Ethernet port is on the left side towards the front ahead of the USB ports, and the port for the power cord is on the right side, right in the middle. It would have been a lot better, aesthetically and physically, if both ports were towards the back, or even on the back side of the laptop. That's how it was designed unfortunately, but it's not a deal breaker for me I guess. I got this laptop for the gaming performance, and it didn't disappoint. It's also the cheapest RTX 3070 laptop I could find, which was also delivered in two days, so thank you for that.
This laptop is also smaller than I thought it would be, and light, which I appreciated. The keyboard is not as bad as some "professional" review sites make it out to be. No, it's not a mechanical keyboard, but it's still easy to type on and the backlit keys are very customizable through software. The plastic case feels a little cheap in some spots, but sturdy at the same time, doesn't feel fragile. The review sites were right about the camera though, the placement and the picture quality is pretty bad. You may want to buy an external, USB webcam if you want to video chat.
Even with those cons, I would not return it and I would recommend this laptop just based on the performance and the price.
Update, 31 March 2021: Still enjoying this laptop, but I would recommend a good laptop cooling pad. This thing gets pretty hot when gaming, even considering the larger-than-normal area of mesh on the bottom cover to help with cooling. Otherwise, good option for a gaming computer.
One more Con though, not about the laptop itself. There is a promotion for a free game if you purchase this laptop after March 16 (check their website) through some date I can't remember. It's not valid in the US.
