The RTX 2060 was also very tempting, but only around 15% more performance for almost $100 more so I picked the GTX 1660 ti. Literally every single 1660 ti was sold out on Amazon except a handful of RGB MSIs ($309) and this Gigabyte 3x fan model ($299).
I am glad looking back, that the $279 models were sold out, because the Gigabyte 3x fan 1660 ti was only $20 more and gives me tons of Overclocking room with it's cooling superiority. Plus cheaper Zotac models usually have fans die years sooner than slightly more expensive models like this.
Extremely happy with my purchase. RTX 2060 would have been nice but the GTX 1660 ti was still around a 65% performance upgrade without even Overclocking yet! Pairs wonderfully with Ryzen 5 2600 and 16gb ram, playing Division 2 with flawless performance, 100fps @ 1080p mostly ultra settings.

FYI - if you're looking to build a PC or upgrade your existing one, I'd highly recommend all of the components listed above. Very impressed with the price to performance ratio.
What I am trying to do, however, is play my favorites on the highest settings possible with a steady 60 fps. And this delivers.
I upgraded from an old Radeon R9 280, which was starting to fail. Obviously, it's not going to take much to impress me after that, but considering the 1660 is priced similarly to how that Radeon card was, I'd say it's definitely exceeded expectations.
The 3 fans are super quiet, and keep the card cool while I spend hours logged into FFXIV with max settings. Temps are still nice and low when I play Overwatch on epic settings. Like I said, I'm not playing anything particularly recent, but man do these games look better than ever.
The 1660 is, obviously, considered to be in between the 1000 and 2000 lines. It's a step up from the 1000 architecture, and has many of the same features found in the 2000 line. Not all of course, but this card will affordably bring you into the next age of graphics processing.
So if you aren't obsessed with running the newest games on the highest settings, and don't want to spend a month's worth of rent on a graphics card (I'm looking at you, RTX line), then this card will last you for years.
I'm giving it 4-stars, because the first one I received was defective. The second worked very well. And yes, the PC I installed this card into has become the gaming machine of choice within my house. I'm lucky if I can elbow in an hour or two for myself each week, usually after everyone else goes to bed.
Just to report on the first card that I received. It worked, but there was some issue with the fan control. If the card turned on the fans, it would turn them on at 100% and was very loud. There was no mid-range, only ON or OFF at 100%, no matter the settings. Also, once the fans were turned on, it would not turn them back off without a reboot. I played around with settings for about a week, and finally gave up and requested a replacement. Glad I did, because the second works great.
I bought this graphics card and have been using it for a couple weeks. I get around 100-150 FPS on PUBG and even up to 250 FPS on older games, which is amazing. I only game in 1080p for now but I am very satisfied with the experience. The GPU temperature max has been 67 which is rarely gets to. The three fans help the thermals tremedoulsly. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to game on any settings, including ultra on most games as of 2019. I paired this GPU with my ASUS TUF 570x gaming motherboard. Great purchase
