Avoid like the plague, there are plenty of options from manufacturers who do ensure their products are usable with today's hardware and have the capacity to flash standalone to avoid these issues.
- Came with the latest drivers (meaning ryzen 3000 support out of the box)
- Easy to build in
- AM4 socket so you have a lot of upgrade options available in the future
- Supports nvme hard drives
- 2 memory slots instead of 4
- you can't overclock
- connection available for only one system fan
I used this motherboard to do a budget build for my 10 year old nephew. I installed 16gb of ram + ryzen 5 1600 cpu + rx 480 gpu. Building on the motherboard itself was easy enough. After i hooked everything up I was ready to update the bios but I was pleasantly surprised to find that it already had the latest bios meaning it should work with the ryzen 3000series. I assume if you're looking at the motherboard you're doing a budget build because if you're using high end parts, it might be better to use a more expensive motherboard. You can't overclock in this one though i doubt my 10 year old nephew will be doing any of that. It also has 2 ram slots instead of 4 but for the price you really can't complain.
Overall i'd recommend this motherboard if you're looking to do a budget build with room to upgrade parts in the future. With the build mentioned above my nephew's PC can do most games at 1080p high to ultra settings at 60fps+. We haven't had the motherboard too long but I'll definitely update the review if something weird happens or it dies.
A lot of people seem worried about 2nd and 3rd gen Ryzen support out of the box. I had no issues, but the box had printed on it that it was ready for Ryzen 2000 and 3000 series.
This motherboard was easy to install and fired up on the first try. Stock bios is F40. I've updated the bios to F42 using @Bios through Gigabyte App Center. HDMI 4K native support if paired with Radeon graphics. It's hooked up through HDMI to my 4K Roku TV. And it looks crips and sharp. Though I got a Gigabyte Radeon Rx 550 D5 2GB on the way. All in all, I'm just a happy camper. :-D
Sorry For the rant, if you decide to buy this MB from amazon try to bundle something with it so it’s actually packed. I have been building custom PC’s for over 20 years, and the first time I had something happen like this.
Other thoughts, I can confirm it came with F42 bios from August 2019, I still flashed to F50 because I purchased some memory that didn’t read full 16GB rather 15.9 and I purchased the Ryzen 1600 (AF - zen+ 12nm version which was recently refreshed that aided from the bios update for stability on boot). After the install of the Wraith stealth stock AMD cooler it’s AMD shroud May almost impede on one ram slot so think about your aftermarket options when purchasing this MB the cooler may not fit as you may expect. Stealth and Spire should fit fine if you place the AMD name on the opposite side.
Over all for a sub $60 mb, tons of value for a budget gamer thats not wanting to do any Overclocking I consider this board. Gigabyte and Asus MB usually haven’t let me down.
I had an a8-9600 sitting on the shelf that needed a home, and this board fit the charge pretty well for that.
I paired this with a 16GB dual channel DDR4 2400MT/s ram kit (2400 is really max on these, so dont bother with higher). a M.2 256GB PCI-E ssd, an OLD 430 watt power supply and a cheapo wireless card.
You know what? it works great. it has a native VGA output so I can use this on my old projector outside for movie nights, and the CPU even has enough power to encode and stream 720P over twitch while it plays.
the VRM on this board is laughably bad, but for a 2-4 core processor, it is a great plenty.
the board has been rock stable, and I really dont have any meaningful complaints, just docking a star for general poor component quality.

I had 2-3 versions of gigabyte motherboard they're very nice
And this one is kaim
This motherboard has 3.1 USB ports which are very fast and nice GUI BIOS
I'm using AMD ryzen 3 1200 processor which doesn't come with graphics so I've installed Nvidia 1GB graphics card
If you are buying non graphics based AMD ryzen processor you need to have graphics card to boot BIOS otherwise you'll get beap and display will be black
I've seen many reviews of black screen please consider the case
Works really nice you can use this motherboard both for gaming and programming processing
I bought for programming (Web and Android)
I've been watching MSI motherboard but actually gigabyte is value for money
First of all I would like to thank the seller that they replied to me pretty fast about my concern of updated bios for 3 rd gen processor. He assured me that their MB are up to date with latest bios and this one came with f40 bios out of the box ready for Ryzen 3 3200 , go with it handles pretty well. Got it for 3600 rs in sale.
