I just bought this card the other day after my old Radeon HD 4850 bit the dust. I did a bunch of research and was really leaning toward the 570 but the price on it was quite high and I couldn't quite justify a $350 card for my current needs.

I went with this GTX 560 and could not be happier. It runs cool, quiet, and fast. It has played all my games in the high settings without a hiccup. I was at all low to medium settings for Star Wars the Old Republic with my HD 4850, and this GTX 560 bumped me up to a much smoother High Settings across the board.

Future proofing, I read that running the GTX 560 setup in SLI bests even the GTX 580! So down the road if I need the extra power for newer games, I can plug in another 560 and end up having a package that will be second only to the 590...and for nearly the price of the single 570. - [...]

All in all, very happy with this purchase so far...will update as I use it with newer games.

Even under heavy CUDA compute loading (not video related), card temperature stays under 77C. Fans are quiet, I just barely hear them over the top of the noise from the fans in the laptop that sits 2 feet away. When I stop CUDA loads, card temperature and fan speed drop dramatically.

I previously had another brand that carried a "lifetime" warranty.. until they went out of buisness that is. I paid $400+ for that card and it lasted 2 years. I decided I would no longer put all my eggs in one card so to speak and went back to running SLI.

The cards came packaged ok everything was there except an SLI bridge which was a little stupid. Thank god I had one from previous incantations of SLI. No porblems installing them at all. I use an aftermarket program to adjust fan speed when gaming.

For the price I am very very happy with them. The next better nvidia card was an extra 30-50 bucks x 2 so I couldn't go there. This is fine for my needs. Well done Gigabyte..well made beutiful card kudos....

Overall, the card works great. I am one of those computer nerds who is always hyperventilating when he has to switch out a part for fear of breaking his system.

Well luckily it's still running well. However when I first got this card I got tons of artifacts on the screen and all sorts of other junk happening while I used it.

That's not to say they are bad. They are about 25% better than my old GeForce GTX 460s by Nvidia. Which I had ~ 3 years and wanted to upgrade mostly because the newer games were putting heavy strain on the card and causing me to set graphics at medium or lower. Not entirely a bad thing but I like the pretty colors. :o

I just get the feeling they had faulty ones and they are trying to pawn them at lower prices.

As I can now see the price has actually gone up slightly. Bad move GIGABYTE. People will at LEAST have to send this in once for a new one. I suggest lowering those prices.

One of the things to look out for; the rebate is for a prepaid card! You don't actually get your money back. If you were hoping for your money back and not a prepaid debit, then don't bother with the rebate. Myself, I just forgot about it. It was only $20 and if I wanted to actually get my money back there are all sorts of fees for actually removing the money instead of using the card. So I didn't bother.

Long story short, if you can handle sending it in once or twice for a new one, you should eventually get a working one.

I have tried to stress this video card with everything I can by maxing out graphic settings on every game I play, and there is no viable lag or choppiness in any way. I'm not a serious gamer, nor do I run more than one display. I recommend this card to anyone who wants to play the latest games.

I bought this for my Hack system and it's been great. It's super quiet; I can barely hear it even with the sides off of my tower. I only played a couple of games on the mac side (Portal 2 and Left4Dead 2), but they played great on the highest settings. Had a mobo problem, so I haven't tried it with windows yet, but I'm confident it will work great. I'm more interested in that my video render time was significantly shortened. I would normally have to wait a couple of hours for a heavy render and it now takes a half hour (depending on what it's rendering - sorry I can't be more specific).

It is a bit large in my antec tower and I had to install it last in order to have space for my hands for other hardware. There is a very small amount of space between it and the hard drives, but it fits, though it's snug.

But still feels like I'm falling behind the curve when it comes to games that are a bit more graphically intensive. Can only manage PlanetSide 2 on low settings.
