Windforce 3X Cooling System
The WINDFORCE 3X cooling system features 3X 82mm unique blade fans, alternate spinning fan, 6 composite copper heat pipes, heat-pipe direct touch and 3D active fan functionality, together delivering an effective heat dissipation capacity for higher performance at lower temperatures
Unique Blade Fan
The airflow is spilt by the triangular fan edge, and guided smoothly through the 3D stripe curve on the fan surface, effectively enhancing the airflow.
The GIGABYTE “Alternate Spinning” is the only solution that can solve the turbulent airflow of three fans. The biggest problem with the three fans is turbulence. Since the fans rotate in the same direction, the airflow direction is opposite between the fans, which will cause turbulent airflow and reduce heat dissipation efficiency. GIGABYTE turns the middle fan in the opposite direction, so that the airflow direction between the two fans is the same, reducing the turbulence and enhancing the airflow pressure.
3D Active Fan
The 3D Active Fan provides semi-passive cooling, and the fans will remain off when the GPU is in a low load or low power game. It allows gamers to enjoy gameplay in complete silence when the system is running light or idle.
Heat Pipes Direct Touch
The shape of the pure copper heat pipes maximizes the direct contact area with the GPU, enhancing heat transfer. The heat pipes also cover the VRAM through a large metal plate contact to ensure proper cooling.
The composite heat-pipe combines thermal conductivity and phase transition to efficiently manage the heat transfer between two solid interfaces which increases cooling capacity.
RGB Fusion 2.0
With 16.7M customizable color options and numerous lighting effects, you can choose lighting effects or synchronize with other AORUS devices.

Update 10/29/19: I decided to keep the card and had to manually delete old drivers and boot into safemode then install the graphics card. Normally Cards are a plug and play but this one was a bit of a hassle. I believe this was the issue. Anyone experiencing the same issues follow these steps:
1. Uninstall Old Drivers
2. Shut down Computer and remove old Graphics Card
3. Insert New Graphics card and be sure to Boot into safemode
4. Install new drivers while in safemode with network settings
5. Restart computer
These were the steps I did and haven't had issues since.
Since utilizing the above steps I haven't had any issues with the card. Has been running pretty flawless. Still only going to rate it at 4 stars due to the hassle trying to figure out why the card was cutting in and out. If you buy, please follow the steps above when installing. You won't have any regrets buying this card.
In short, the card is great, but if you care about the promo code, BUY IT SOMEWHERE ELSE.
Small Update: Front LED GIGABYTE logo is now not even lighting up. Was dim to begin with and now will not even turn on. Not a major issue, but it would be nice if things worked how they're supposed to for the price you pay.....
Update: after having it for about 3 months now I still absolutely love it. Definitely getting gigabyte again for my next !!!
I got this card to replace a GTX 1080 after I had an issue with 2 cards after RMA due to temps... and this card is absolutely great! Even at full load, I haven't seen it go above 65C yet, compared to my 1080 which typically reached as high as 90C and throttled. After an amazing experience with this Gigabyte windforce card as well as an old 970 Gigabyte Windforce card I have, I think I will stick to their cards permanantly!

In terms of performance, this card EATS everything I throw at it(Resident evil 2 remake, gamecube & ps2 emulators, LoL, overwatch, csgo, FF 15). Some games are just so under powered that the card doesn't even reach 40C+ so the fans don't turn on. I believe the fans kick in at around 50C but I've never seen this thing go over 65C on full load. It's also surprisingly quiet.
I have two cons for this card.
1-Its THICC(not an issue for me, but can be for some). Make sure your PCI 3.0 or 4.0 slot doesn't cover anything else like the chipset fan on x570 motherboards or any other PCI or network slots.
2-PRICE. THIS THING IS EXPENSIVE. However, this card is probably the 2nd best card you can get for your money(assuming 2080TI is for enthusiast). The 2080 super's price isn't justified for the amount of performance boost you get over this.
Overall very solid card, as a first time builder I am EXTREMELY pleased with my purchased. I was debating between this or the 5700xt and with all the driver issues being reported, the 5700xt doesn't seem worth. Like seriously this thing just works right out of the box. Hell windows will even install the drivers for you right away and you can use it perfectly, have had 0 issues with it.
I do not see value for money here, seems to be a placebo for buyers, there are plenty of gpu from smaller budgets with similar performance.
Minor details, the LED on the Gigabyte was barely noticeable relative to the rest of the lighting on my PC.
The only thing I liked about this GPU was the finish, but I did not spend (price) for aesthetics, I expected perfection in terms of performance.
And just to add/clarify, I was on less graphically-demanding games such as Rocket League, with Performance settings as opposed to Quality.
However, I replaced it with this GeForce 2070 Super in order to increase the framerate at 144MHz. I can now play most recent games at Ultra settings with a more than respectable framerate.
Just be aware that this card requires its own power connector to the power supply, and that you need at least a 750 watts PSU. I upgraded my power supply with a Corsair 850 watts Gold power supply, which provides reliable power with the correct voltages to all the precious and expensive electronic components inside the computer.
Another thing to consider is that this card is huge. I had to remove a PCI card which was seated underneath the video card, in order to ensure I would leave at least an inch under the fans so that heat could efficiently be evacuated. The air coming out of the ATX case in the back is now noticeably warmer than before.
The GeForce software and driver updates are top notch, and NVidia keeps updating the drivers for its video cards over time, thereby improving stability and performance. This is one of the main reasons I went with a brand I trust and love rather than going with an AMD card.
