I bought this adapter to go with a Sandisk 64gb Extreme Pro SD card rated at 95 MB/s. I tested the read/write speed on the card and get 70MB/s write and 88 MB/s read speeds. Using this adapter I get 18 MB/s write and 23 MB/s read. This is really unacceptable. The description says this adapter is high speed, but my CF card rated at 60 MB/s is faster and can shoot 4 more RAW images without slowing down. I would not recommend this adapter if you need high speed r/w rates. I will be returning this one and trying another :(

Works fine, but write speeds are slow. shooting in burst mode met with huge delays waiting for the camera to write to the SD card.

this wors fine but would have been much handier if the SD card loaded into the back vs the side. as it is you have to remove this adaptor, then remove the SD card, not handy

I have an older canon rebel camera, and I wanted to use an eye-fi card to transfer photos from it to my mac. One thing however it seems very slow, I am not sure if it is the converter or the eye-fi card, or my wifi. But this does work well with the rebel cameras with compact flash and with a mac.

NOTE ABOUT SIZE: I'm seeing a lot of reviews and questions about size. This is CompactFlash Type II, it's thicker than Type I. Check the specifications of your camera to make sure it's type II compatible before ordering this. Most new pro SLRs take multiple types of memory cards, the space limitations of this feature often means they are only CF type I compatible.

Now my review.

I purchased this to use my Eye-Fi Mobi Wi-Fi-enabled SDHC memory cards in my SLR cameras. After several tests using multiple cameras and cards, I found that this card did not work reliably. These are the details of my experience:
With Eye-Fi cards it shoots well, writes at an acceptable speed, plays back the last image taken, and transfers with file (small JPG) to the mobile app without issues. HOWEVER, as soon as I take another photo, or turn the camera off and turn it back on, it cannot play back the previous images. Ever. I reproduced this problem 100% of the time in both a 7D and a 5D Mark II. Once I put the Eye-Fi card into my computer the RAW files were there, so it's definitely writing them, but it cannot play them back. Additionally with the 7D, on the rare occasion it did play back the last image, if I tried to use the in-camera RAW processing function, it locked up my camera and caused an Error 70 (which I clear by taking out the battery).
With standard SDHC cards, not WiFi-capable, it can shoot, store, and play back images just fine. But again with the 7D, it didn't allow me to use the in-camera RAW processing capabilities. It didn't give me Error 70, but the camera froze with the memory card usage red light flashing non-stop until I turn the camera off. I tried this with multiple cards, both Sandisk and Lexar brand.

This works well. Insert an SD card into the adapter and off you go! No problems inserting the CF adapter into the camera (Canon 5D) and getting it to work, this is a very clever idea I wish I had thought of.

Using in Sony A350 with Lexar 600x 16GB SDHC Cards. Comparing with Lexar 600x CD Card - several years old no less. Can take 3 pictures, and then the camera write light is on steady for 30 seconds, can't take any more pictures. Put the old CF card back in - I can take 15 pictures in burst, and it only slightly starts to slow down the writes.

Garbage. Garbage. Garbage.
