Liisa Kyle knows from firsthand experience the pitfalls and distractions that creatives (aka DaVincis) face. She willingly shares her experiences, along with excellent advice. I personally love--and am using--the "hour a day" for completing a couple of works in progress. As a writer, strategist, and graphic artist, I know I'll return to this book repeatedly, especially when I'm stuck or trying to juggle multiple creative projects. A terrific reference!
This too the point guide and workbook is a great resource for people who have many ideas and talents but need help goal setting and making their way to the final results. Creative people will appreciate the references to DaVinci's dilemma as we can all empathize as creative people with being able to see our big vision but getting stuck on our journey there only to have many great ideas and projects left undone. I have used this book as a tool fo rmyself in prioritizing and keeping my eye on the final vision as I navigate through the paths that I can take to get to the finishes. I am also planning to teach these techniques to my health students in their life and academic goal setting.
In this goal oriented society with all the emphasis in the work place today being on SMART goal setting and data many times creative people feel bogged down. This book will give you relief from that feeling and allow you to use your talent in the ways that you know you shoudl be able to.
This is such a simple, straight forward book that gives you tools to figure out want you want and so much more importantly how to get it! I think that this book will help so many people who are trying to figure it out!
Liisa has a brilliant way of getting to the point, getting you to the point, and getting things done. This is a fresh read on goal setting, merging successful principles with the mindset of a multi-talented person. Chapter 12 was worth it for me :)
