Easy to assemble and does an excellent job of holding the fabric very taught. By comparison I have a much larger frame made by a different company that requires the embroidery to be stitched to strips of fabric that are stapled to the wood and then tightened. That frame works very well but by comparison the clip design on this frame are so much easier to use. The clips are plastic and they have to be in order to have the necessary flexibility. Having Clips attached to the fabric and the bar all the way across helps a lot with keeping the fabric very taught. I don't know how well these clips will hold up overtime. So far I am very pleased with this product and would recommend it.

This is my first scroll frame and I can't go back to the hoops again!

Edit: I was answering a question about if this will be okay for a pice that's 15x18 and promised to add pictures of what I'm working on right now. Normally, I like to stage my pictures a bit better, but I just slapped it down on the bed.

I took some of the whole piece as well as on of the top and two of the bottom's front and back. I wanteed her to see how she could roll the fabrics longer part under whip it was not in use. Hope it helps you see how this works. I've never used a hoop again!

The frame is simple to work with and keeps the canvas taut. The wood is sturdy, smooth and attractive. It enhances the finished product of the needlework. I have the frame in both small and medium sizes.

The only reason I didn't give five (5) stars in all the categories is because the clamps deform over time, become loose and pop out. The company should provide replacement clamps to be purchased, so that you don't have to go to the expense of rebuying the entire frame. Nevertheless, I would definitely repurchase this frame again. I looked at other frames (both online and in person in my New York City area), prior to selecting this one. The Goncharoff Tapestry Scroll Embroidery Frame is by far the best.

The scroll is okay and easy to use. The ad is difficult to understand or maybe I was too dim....to understand how to order what size. The size I received is fine, though. The scrolls are nice to use because a project can be rolled up easily to work on a different section of the project without removing the project from the frame.

It’s pretty large so I use it while sitting at the table and leaning the frame against the edge of the table while the bottom rail rests in my lap. I definitely recommend this frame!

GONCHAROFF TAPESTRY SCROLL EMBROIDERY FRAMES - I bought the medium size of this frame and I love it. First time with this product. I have an 11" x 8" piece on this frame although I bought it for a larger piece that I am also working. I have this piece mounted vertically as I can work it more easily that way. I mounted it horizontally, at first, but that proved to be too awkward for me. Vertically works great for this small piece. There are 7 holes in each of the 2 vertical bars (aka: frame). That allows for a number of different sized cross stitch pieces (worked at different times, of course). It was easy to put together and it arrived fairly quick. I am very pleased with this item!
