The battery lasts about 8 hours of continuous headphone use. Additionally they can continue to work while charging, except that when you plug them into the charger they turn off. So you need to remember to turn down or mute the sound when you plug them in. Once charging you can turn them back on and they'll work just fine while charging.
Office mates have some more expensive over the ear/around the back of the head headset/headphone Bluetooth which they bought for the better sound. We have compared them and found only a few can tell the difference in sound quality. Even the most hard core audiophile declared them a reasonable set of headphones for general office use.
Have used them for Skype calls and GoTo conference meetings without any issues for the microphone quality. Everyone said I was clear and clean without any serious noise in the microphone.
Don't let the low price make you feel you are getting an inferior or low quality product. These are comfortable, provide good audio, have very good battery life, and are an excellent value.
The audio quality is really good. There is enough bass to satisfy my needs but not too much to drowned out everything else. Sometimes I wish it had higher treble but that can be adjusted with a equalizer on the device side.
This is an on-the-ear headset so it doesn't keep other background noise out. However, that is what I needed for work in order to hear others who needed my help. At the same time, just turn the sound up a little and you won't hear a thing. ;) As a side note, if you have it too loud then others may hear it too (I keep it at a comfortable level for both others and myself).
The headband itself is comfortable and light, I can wear it for several hours and not have any troubles but after 3 or so I need to take a break. At first you hardly feel it but after time I think the slight pressure gets to you. This would probably be the case for any headset like this though. The adjustability works for me, each earpiece slides up and down giving you more headroom. I probably have a slightly smaller head than most. (Yes, I know I opened myself up to some jokes there...)
My biggest complaint would probably be the time it takes to turn it on. Seems like you're holding the power button forever before it turns on, although it's only like 5 seconds (same with powering off). And if you hold the power for slightly too long it goes into "pairing" mode too quickly. Both of these should not be a deal-breaker though, just a nuisance.
I don't really use the control buttons on the side, but I do wish it had a play/pause button. That would probably be the one I use the most.
Battery life is good, you'll get several hours of playtime. I can typically get a few days before needing a charge (using it for 3-4 hours per day). However, when it's low it'll beep at you every minute or so. It would be nice if there was one beep earlier to give you lead-time and plan a good time to turn it off, trying to finish a song and listen to the beeps is annoying. Charge time is about 2 hours for a full charge. Overall good but a bigger battery would always be welcome and maybe the "standard" micro USB port instead of the small round charging connector.
Connectivity in my opinion is all up to the Bluetooth adapter you use (on a PC). It's up to the drivers to provide easy pairing. The one I use (Medialink USB Bluetooth Adapter v4.0) worked flawlessly, easily re-connects automatically when you turn it back on. Mobile devices I'm sure will have no problems.
One thing to note is that the headset "sleeps" when nothing is played for a couple minute and takes a second for it to "wake-up", so when you hit Play on your music player you'll miss the first second. Not a huge deal for me, but might be for some.
I don't use the microphone for calls or anything so I cannot comment on that.
I think that about covers it. If you have any questions feel free to reply and I'll try to get back. If I run into the dieing issue I'll also try to post back here. Hopefully this will be helpful to some, I know I rely heavily on good reviews for purchases such as this and thought I'd contribute back.
I PAID FOR THESE. I can't do the "in-ear" headphones, and I found these to replace my old, failing Jaybird SB1s (these are a rip-off of that design). They work great. The sound isn't awesome, but they start comfortably on my head while running, and I can still hear surrounding traffic so I don't get run over by a car or hit by a bicyclist.
If you hate in-ear headphones and are looking for something sweat-resistant, this is it.
