When GLISTEN PC is first dry to the touch, it will appear to be very soft. Avoid touching it for several days until it becomes hard and tough. Accidental contact could damage the surface before full cure has taken place. Like many other coatings, GLISTEN PC is a MOISTURE-CURED coating, which means it is strengthened by exposure to moisture. It will never crack, chip, peel, or yellow, and is very flexible as well.

Worked like all the POR 15 products. It dried very hard and clear without any orange peel. Only one thing is the lack of disclosure that what you buy is not really a quart. What you buy is a quart once you have added the hardener. Other than that it is a great product tol use and coverage is very good. I sprayed it and it worked out great on some polished aluminum wheels.

I used the product to finish a sanded fiberglass boat in a clean garage. In summary, the product is designed for the professional sprayer in an environmentally regulated spray application. The instructions warn regarding the environmental specs which you can't get at home and should never consider applying outside. At home the environmental specs of the day equals the end result. Different specs tomorrow, different result tomorrow, ie. high humidity =.dries too fast, too warm etc. etc. Though advertised for roller/brush app - it's a major nightmare. Rolling will give you a consistent minimal thickness but will set up as semi-eggshell as not enough thickness to level. Brushing gives varied thickness, sags and runs as it levels. There is no time to work it by hand as it set's up in mere seconds. If you stop for ten seconds to mix more product don't go back, don't overstroke, think ahead. The product is clear and hard as advertised, but expect a shellac look unless you have automotive buffing equipment. The learning curve will cost you in sanding, time, and additional product. You will kick yourself for attempting this at home. Finally, after resanding all of the above, and three coats of varied results, it took a person to roll it on, and a person to brush smooth it out, staying six inches apart, moving forward and fast. Forget anything big by hand. Hardener can has a sealer wad under the cap, which when removed, product acts like a shaken soda can. Lost half my product before I even used it, and was being very careful. Allow the product to stand for a few days before you open it. Depressurize it with a pin. The product is not for the novice, paint the lawn furniture, kind of person or application. Your marine clear coat options out there are minimal, and this product is designed for the professional applicator and environmentally correct. The result I got, was not what I desired. No matter how much I thought I perfected it, my result was not as desired. I would not attempt this again at home only because of the characteristics of the product.

I researched the POR-15 products thoroughly before purchase. I heard many users complain that the product did not adhere properly. I assumed these users did not properly prepare their material per the manufacturer's recommmendations. I was wrong. I realize that painting, and similar projects, are mostly prep work. It should be 80% prep work and only 20% actually applying the paint/product. However, even when properly prepped, this material does not adhere. I put this over a painted automotive part for a lasting glossly look and for protection. It seemed to go on just fine. The product does "self-level" as per the description. However, the product also began to peel off everywhere in less than 2 months. It is to the point now that I will have to sand/peel off the remaining product, as the peeling clear coat looks horrible. The paint underneath is just fine, and was completely cured and clean before applying this Glisten PC. I have also used it on top of a bedliner material, to prevent dulling/fading of the bedliner. Same result . . . peeled off in two months. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT OR ANY OTHER POR-15 PRODUCT . . . IT WILL PEEL OFF!!!!!
