Parents, grandparents, teachers, we will all find something in this short video to raise our awareness of what the human being is capable of with our support. In 1947 Dr. Maria Montessori began the Montessori Assistants to Infancy (A to I) program in Rome, Italy. Thirty years later Silvana Quattrocchi Montanaro, MD, brought it to the United States and has since helped spread this wisdom to many other countries.
In this 10-minute tribute to Dr. Montanaro by Karin Salzmann, full of love and humor, you will see a bit of A to I history, and video clips and pictures of the amazing potential of children. It was produced in collaboration with Susan Mayclin Stephenson. Pictures and video clips were provided by Montessori Assistants to Infancy around the world.

Yes!, thank you Silvana many times over for your work, your wisdom, your patience, your grace, your humor and for inspiring me to think deeply, feel genuinely and to work for infants and families with all my heart. Thanks go also to the late Karin Salzmann for creating this tribute; I never had the chance to meet her, but I wish I had.
This short tribute to Dr Montanaro is a treasure for me as one of her students; it will be a good addition to the library of anyone who serves to inspire parents, grandparents, and others interested in the amazing abilities of the youngest among us.
