I compared this to a steam cleaning brush and, while I like the idea of steam, this one is the go-to, no-nonsense winner. It just works, it’s large, I’ve had it for a couple months now and can say it looks like it’ll be very durable. The bristles are strong, better than the Weber brush I replaced. If you’re worried about metal fibers coming off, I haven’t seen that. It’s very well built and could probably be replaced every year if that’s a major concern for you.

Compared to the steam brushes that are popular on Amazon, I like this a lot more for the old school design and the reality that you can clean the grill in ten or twenty seconds where the steam brush takes a lot longer and requires more steps.

I bought this as a replacement for the same style brush I've had for a few years. I've tried all the other designs of heads, scarpers, brushes and pads, and this design is the one I like best.

Its open brush section allows me to quickly clean the grill from front to back along the rungs. The scraper flat can get burnt on food off the tops of the rungs, and the cutouts on the ends reach down in between the rungs for complete cleaning. In addition, the long handle allows me to clean while the grill is preheating, or still hot. It also adds pressure to the head while cleaning.

We got a new grill and the old grill brush was plastic, so when I went to use it after the first time cooking it snapped. One thin I didn't want was plastic again. So I found this and thought I would try it. It works great. I just wet it and wipe done the grill grates after cooking while they are still hot and it does a great job. The sturdy handle allows for good pressure to get everything off the grates.
