Easy to use on multiple stovetops
A moka pot is very easy to use. It is easy to keep for home and office. When washing it, always wash by hand and never place in a dishwasher. The aluminum will naturally tarnish in a dishwasher and spoil its finish.

Honestly the nesspresso makes a richer brew but the Grosche is a very close second but cost a lot less to make. The so called 3 cup pot really only makes enough for one cup of cappuccino if you are drinking from a 6oz cup. What I love about the Grosche is that it works very well and the handle is designed to be away from the body of the pot so it doesn't get hot. I have had bialetti pots before that were ok but the handle was too close to the pot and would get hot or your finger would touch to pot which gets very hot. This is eliminated with the handle design on the grosche. I am very pleased with my purchase. I would rate it as superior to the similar bialetti model.

This is similar and corrects 2 problems I've had with the Bialettis:
The handle melting - note this handle is farther from the pot than a Bialetti. My gas stove melted the ones closer to the pot.
The black finish prevents any coffee stains from showing. I tried the colored Bialettis but the color still stained.
Compared to my very good Bonavita 1900, which I use for a bigger batch in the morning, the stovetop method produces a slightly stronger, thicker cup of coffee. My wife and I can have a modest cup each with the so-called "9-cup" of this Grosche (what in truth amounts to about 20 ounces of coffee). But we like the smaller amount for the afternoon.
If you're patient and can "supervise" the flame to make sure it's not too high or low, then I can recommend the Grosche for those who need two modest size cups of coffee.

I previously had a similar one, but my mom "borrowed" it after she tested my coffee. So now I've got this red, "hot" 6-cups beauty only for myself.
The quality of the materials is a top notch, though the paint has gotten already tiny scratches, but this unavoidable, unfortunately.
I always make a point to place the espresso maker on the burner in the way, that its handle is staying out of the heating circle (I have a ceramic glass cooktop), for this way it will remain intact longer.
I'm usually using premium quality William Spartivento Blue Mountain coffee beans, either it's a coffee machine or stovetop maker, so in this combination, I'm always getting a perfect cup of coffee.

The 6 cup maker brews two mugs of coffee which is about 10 ounces each (I dilute the espresso to make coffee "Americano") or 12oz of espresso. I add some cream or milk to get the perfect cup of coffee. The coffee maker is easy to use as follows:
1) Rinse it out with plain water before the first use and after each subsequent use. DO NOT ever put it in the dishwasher! It will cause the aluminum to turn gray.
2) Make a weak brew of coffee and discard. This will "season" the brewer.
3) Fill the filter with ground coffee and level off, do not tamp it down.
4) Fill the reservoir with cold tap water and put the filter in. Then just screw on the upper half and put it on the stove.
5) Use a medium to low heat (do not use high heat as it may burn the handle, damage the rubber seal and the high heat would produce a less than desirable coffee) under the brewer and close the lid. It will take about 6 to 8 minutes for the water to begin to boil.
6) When the water in the reservoir starts to boil the steam will propel it up through the ground coffee and into the upper reservoir. There will be a gurgling sound. Turn the heat down to low and wait for the water to fill the upper reservoir.
7) When the sound gets loud it means the bottom reservoir is empty and then turn off the heat. Can also check this by carefully opening the top and watching for when the top reservoir is full.
8) Be carful pouring the coffee - it is really hot! Enjoy!
I have found that just about any medium ground quality coffee will make good coffee in this pot. Just be sure the beans are fresh.
The machine should be rinsed with plain water after each use (I use a paper towel to wipe it down). No need to use soap and never put it in the dishwasher. The only part of the brewer that may need replacing is the rubber gasket. Other than that, this is an easy to use brewer that requires minimal maintenance.

The best part about this is the company is really ethically conscious. For each espresso maker you buy, they use some profits to provide clean water to a village for 50 days. They have a leaflet that comes in the box, which explains more.
Glad I got this espresso maker in particular.
