1.The glass Infuser is the flaw of this combination: it is so thin and it breaks easily. Mine when arrived had a tiny crack it got larger and larger in just two weeks. I drink tea twice a day so if you are planning to use this kettle everyday do not buy it.
2.Glass of the kettle itself is also too thin so you have to be careful when you are washing it or carrying it around.
3.When I got the kettle and I found a tiny crack in it I contacted the customer service; they asked me to leave a positive feedback in order to get a replacement!!!!!!!!!! I found it unprofessional, Thanks for Amazon returning policy I returned the kettle.
Suggestion: After hours of search I bought a Primula kettle with glass infuser from target for half of a price. They made it from a thicker glass and I am using it everyday.
I wanted something pretty, something that I can heat water in, and also make/serve tea in. This does it! It is very delicate looking, and look pretty sitting on my stove top when not in use. The only downside is that it is quite delicate (my kids will not be handling it much) and it can only be used on medium heat - making boiling water a bit longer than usual.
When heated JUST to a boil, the handle and lid get hot, but not so hot that you can't handle them bare-handed.
The flavor of any tea prepared in this pot is wonderful. No metal to lend a funny aftertaste which I happen to very sensitive too.
The pot is easily cleaned by hand, does not stain, and after 2 months of daily (and more!) use, the glass is still clear and beautiful.
The infuser insert works very well even with fine tea such as you'd get in bags. You'll get some bits seeping through, but far less than one would expect. The infuser does not have holes in it like many others do . . . it has tiny slits in the bottom edges. It does an excellent job or straining the tea leaves while allowing water to flow freely.
If there is any negative side at all, it's that the glass is very very delicate. HOWEVER - this is the trade-off for a clear view inside and the beauty itself of the pot. Heavier glass just wouldn't have the same beauty.
Can't say enough about this product! And as a nice boost . . . the customer service of the manufacturer is stellar. I dropped a piece and broke it and although the piece was not for sale, they found one for me and arranged to get it to me for the price of shipping. Wonderful!

Pretty and functional except for the lid which does not have a rubber gasket to hold it in place.Published 17 days ago by Kindle Customer
This tea pot is beautiful and functional. My family uses it several times a day on a glass stove top with the burner set on high.Published 18 days ago by Kaye
I would have given 5 stars, but the strainer slits are just so narrow that you have to wait a while after pouring water onto the tea leaves for the water to go through and repeat... Read morePublished 4 months ago by irateit
I absolutely love this teapot! Besides the fact that it is so pretty and can be put in the dishwasher, I love that I can brew loose tea in it right on the stovetop! Read morePublished 5 months ago by Palma V.
Not as expected, from the Ad i got the impression that the infuser could be used on a stove top not so. Read morePublished 5 months ago by Aubrey Wilburg
