By M. Henri De Feraudy on February 6, 2011
This is the book that accompanies some videos that were made around 1970 (perhaps even before). You can find some of these videos on Youtube
by searching for "Guten Tag,wie Geht's". There is also a series called "Guten Tag" which seems to be older but similiar in intent.
My personal opinion is that the series is so charming that it could have been a cult series.
The videos were very professionaly made, very imaginative and quite funny in places.
Each episode of the series/ chapter of the book is a story from which you can learn some German. The vocabulary is provided with each chapter
along with exercises. The book was well made so mine looks almost as good as new.
This book is probably too advanced for an introduction course (although it was recommended when I was in first year German), but could be useful for
a 2nd year course.
