About Gabriel Beyers
ELEVATOR GUY BY DAY!
STORYTELLER BY NIGHT!
Hello, my name is Gabriel Beyers, and I write paranormal thrillers with a kick.
Who am I really?
I’m a blue collar guy who loves fishing, the outdoors, reading, and of course, writing about all things paranormal, supernatural, or just plain weird.
I once lived in a haunted house (doors opening and closing by themselves, and everything). I’m always on the lookout for UFOs (pretty sure I’ve seen a few). And I may or may not have the power to fly (I’m too chicken to test this theory).
I spend my day-job hours tinkering with elevators—in a safe and legal way—and the dark hours of the night at the keyboard immersed in my imaginary worlds. One day I hope the latter will pay enough so that I can retire from the former. Until then, no sleep for me!
If you want to delve deeper into the muddy swamp of my twisted little life, click the FOLLOW button, then check out my website. It’s the hub for all the various places I tend to haunt.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Best wishes and happy reading,
-Gabriel Beyers

Blog postHello to anyone who might still be reading this blog. It's been almost two years since I last posted. I'm sorry. I never quite got the hang of blogging. I was told once it was essential to becoming a successful author. Maybe it is. Maybe it isn't.
Anyway, here I am, back for a quick update. I will try to update here more often. Share pics from my life or just give you a heads up about what sort of shenanigans I've gotten myself into.
So, what have I been up to?

Blog postHello everyone. Sorry I've been absent. I've been working on book 3 in my Perpetual Creatures Series in between battles with the day job and yard work. But I wanted to stop by to tell you about 35 FREE books. Graeme Ing has compiled the books in a blog post that you can find right here.
Now in the spirit of transparency I must tell you that two of the 35 books belong to me. I also have not yet read any of the books on the list. But I do talk with most of the authors, and we are doin7 years ago Read more -

Blog postHello everyone. I know I've been MIA once again, but rest assure I've been working my tail off.
The *new day job has been keeping me quite busy in all the un-fun, non-writerly ways that day jobs do. But I'm not giving up on writing. I'm working on the second book in my Perpetual Creatures series, titled Beauty & Power, and will be sending it off to the editor real soon. I hope to have it out around the first of the year, then I'll start writing book 3.

Blog postAfter WAY too long of a time between books, I'm happy to announce that I have hit the publish button on my latest novel.
HEART OF THE DEAD is book one in my Perpetual Creatures Series.
Jerusa Phoenix never thought she would experience anything more shocking than being able to see ghosts. Then she met Silvanus. The young man with unearthly eyes, who seems to be able to read her thoughts, is handsome, powerful, and she is sure of one thing: he isn’t human.

Blog postI have decided to take my stories and go all in with Amazon.* I know many of you will tell me what an unwise decision that is, and you may be right. But the thing is, in three years I haven't earned squat on all of the other retailers combined.
It may be a failed experiment, then again, maybe not.

Blog postI can't believe that I haven't written a post since January.
Granted, my purpose for this blog has changed over the years. When I first started, it was understood that if you wanted to gain the attention of an agent then you needed a strong web presence with a ready-made following.
Now that that myth has been debunked, I use this blog just to drain some of my random thoughts.
What have I been up to since January?

Blog postHello everyone. I hope you are all warm and dry as we endure this latest Snowpocalypse. If you happen to be somewhere tropical then I hate you. Just kidding. But I'm not. I really hate you.
Here in southern IN it keeps switching between rain and snow. My yard has turned into the most drab giant Slurpee you've ever seen. Blog postLet me tell you a little story.
There once was a troll that happened across a beautiful maiden. The maiden was kind to the troll, treating him as she would any friend. The troll feared that the maiden would soon see him for what he truly was, so in his desperation he acquired a magic ring that would forever bind the maiden to him.
Years passed and the troll felt bad for deceiving the maiden. He confessed that he had tricked her into staying with him. To his surprise the9 years ago Read more -

Blog postWhen I was a young boy growing up in the 80s there were few things I loved more than staying up late on a Friday night to watch Sammy Terry.
Sammy Terry was, and still is, a well known local TV personality here in Indiana famous for his horror show. The movies he showcased were mostly b-rated horror films or classics from the 30s through the 50s. Sammy Terry's show is one of my most fond memories growing up. It sparked my long lasting love of horror and sci-fi.

Blog postWell, surprise surprise. I'm about 15 minutes away from almost missing a May blog post. Shocking I know.
May has been an especially crazy month for me. First, my lovely wife graduated from nursing school. It's been a long hard road for our family, but she's a tough gal. I'm very proud that she not only went back to school (which isn't easy once you're married with children) but that she has chosen to be a nurse. Blog postI'm sure by now you've all heard about James Patterson and the ad he paid for in the NYT. About how he feels literature is swirling around the proverbial toilet bowl and how we are all destined to return to illiterate Serfs. I am not a big one for science fiction and I loved this story! Fast paced plot no drawing things out great characters to love and despise. Perfect blend of fictional story telling with enough science fiction to make u contemplate the what it's. Loved the storylines. So many great villians to hate on while getting a good chuckle out of the crazy cat lady neighbor. Recommend highly.
Thriller ...
If you are looking for a thriller look no further. This fast paced page turner will have you biting your nails start to finish. I reccomend this book, you won't be disappointed.
Kept me on the edge of my seat, great read!
I bought this book on a whim after coming across this author on Twitter. I wasn't sure what to expect and was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed reading it. Lost some sleep, but that's okay. The characters were both lovable and hateable. This book had a lot going on and totally kept me guessing throughout as to what was going to happen! I will read this author again and would reccommend this book. Wouldn't mind if the pups in this book showed up again somewhere down the line!

IF I CAN’T CONCEAL THE TRUTH, I'M GOING TO END UP DEAD ... OR WORSE.
My name is Jerusa Phoenix, the only vampire in existence who can see ghosts, and my worst fears have finally come calling.
Not only has my maker, the man I love, gone missing. Now the Hunters have taken me against my will to stand in judgment before the cruel Vampire Elders, where a single imperfection or weakness could bring my immortality to a screeching halt.
My vampire companions warn me to keep Alicia and the other ghosts a secret, not to mention the uncanny way I came to be a vampire, but that’s easier said than done.
How am I supposed to prove myself worthy of perpetual life without revealing my spectral secrets, especially now that vampiric ghosts are appearing around me in droves?
Entangled in the Elders' nefarious web of lies, I've no choice but to play their twisted games, where the odds are purposely stacked against me, and the line between salvation and condemnation is hidden beneath a river of blood.
IF I SAVE THE WORLD, I JUST MAY LOSE MY SOUL...
My name is Jerusa Phoenix, the only vampire in existence who can speak with ghosts, and I must make a gut-wrenching decision.
Do I hunt down a vicious enemy with the power to spark an apocalyptic event, or rescue my dearest friend from mortal danger?
Alicia and the other ghosts are seeking out the hidden locations of friend and foe with all their spectral might, but time is running out, and I must choose a path.
Either way, I’m probably not making it out of this alive. But if I abandon my friend, she will die. Then again, if I fail to kill this dangerous adversary, he will destroy countless others.
But maybe there is a way I can accomplish both.
A treacherous opportunity has presented itself. One I can no longer ignore. Ruthless forces are aligning. War is coming. And I must fight while I still have the strength to do so.
If I am to achieve the miraculous, I'll have to deal with the devil.
WHEN YOU’RE AN IMMORTAL, DYING CAN TAKE FOREVER ...
My name is Jerusa Phoenix, the only vampire in existence who can speak with ghosts, and I’m slowly turning to stone.
The one thing I need to reverse this agonizing vampire disease is the only thing the ghost, Alicia, inexplicably forbids me to have. She has her reasons, I’m sure, and I trust her, but the pain of the devouring stone is driving me mad.
If only she could tell me why I must endure this agony. But the dead don’t speak.
Hunted and battle-weary, my allies risk it all as they fervently search for an alternative way to save me. My prospects grow weaker by the hour. One fleeting, yet dangerous, hope exists.
But sometimes the cure is worse than the sickness.
Though it may already be too late, my friends will stop at nothing to restore me.
Even if it means destroying everything I love.
THE DISEASE STOLE MY MIND. THE SPELL STOLE MY HEART. THE REST IS BURIED IN BLIND FURY.
My name is Jerusa Phoenix, the only vampire who can see the lingering spirits of the dead. But, thanks to the Stone Cloak, I no longer remember who, or even what, I am.
In an attempt to save me, my closest friends employed the help of an old and dangerous being. Big mistake! Something went terribly wrong ... or right ... depending on who you ask. The arcane ritual stripped me of the one thing keeping the growing swarm of savage wraiths at bay.
Now I no longer recognize friend from foe, and under the wraiths’ influence, I have awakened with an insatiable need to kill any and all vampires, whether I once loved them or not.
As I mindlessly hunt my friends, they rush to find a way to free me from the savage wraiths’ hold. At the same time, an abominable union of our enemies seeks to finish us all off once and for all.
The question is, who will find whom first?
A WITCH BY BIRTH. A VAMPIRE BY FORCE. A HERO BY DESTINY.
VAMPIRE SPIRIT (Book 1)
If I had only listened to the ghost's warning, that disastrous night with the vampires would've never happened...
My name is Jerusa Phoenix and I have a very unusual life.
An overbearing mother. A congenital heart defect. And my best friend, Alicia, just so happens to be a ghost.
I never in my wildest dreams believed anything could top being able to communicate with the lingering dead. Then I stumbled into the middle of a vampire blood ritual and everything changed.
Now a nightmarish creature is stalking vampire and human alike, growing more powerful with each kill.
I have a terrible feeling that the vampires are planning something sinister for me, but if I hope to survive I must use my ghostly connections to help them hunt down the savage fiend before it's too late.
The vampires have their doubts, but for me the question isn't whether or not Alicia and I can find the beast.
The question is, what happens once we do?
VAMPIRE JUSTICE (Book 2)
If I don't conceal my powers, I'm going to end up dead ... or worse.
I am Jerusa Phoenix, the only vampire in existence who can see ghosts, and my worst fears have finally come calling.
Not only has my maker, the man I love, gone missing. Now the Hunters have taken me against my will to stand in judgment before the cruel Vampire Elders, where a single imperfection or weakness could bring my immortality to a screeching halt.

Here lie ten short stories from the mind of author Gabriel Beyers.
"It's not often that I come across a horror story that has me still thinking about it when it's over. All of the stories are creepy in their own twisted way but some of the stories in this collection have you on the edge of your seat and stick with you like a cold chill when you're done! I can't wait to read more by Beyers."
"It's funny, but before I bought my Kindle and started getting books from Amazon I never really liked short stories. I can't say that any longer and it's Authors like Mr. Beyers here that have changed my mind. These shorts run the whole gamet. Yep, I'd recommend this book and author."
