I was very eager to get this dvd and yes, it did take a couple of weeks to receive it. When I ordered it there was no reviews. The age of the performers were not important because a true rocker never dies inside. BEWARE THIS DVD IS A RIP-OFF ... screen is jumping and music and voices are out of sync. Yes, you could keep for the soundtrack but that it isn't why I purchased it. Being recorded in 2004 you should expect a good recording. DISAPPOINTED ---returning product.

This DVD was the worst I have seen. The sound and video were not in sync. The song In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida would not play. After 10 seconds it would loop back to the start of the song. The key player was a moron. The guitar player was also terrible. Do not waste your money on this DVD!

I was hoping for a remake of the sixties classic. This was recorded at a concert in 2004 (a bunch of old men). I don't have anything against "old men" . . . I am one myself . . . but watching them play "heavy rock" doesn't work. Sorry, the song wasn't up to standards. Worst of all, it had frequent video pauses throughout, lasting just a fraction of a second, but distracting. I think they were made intentionally for "artistic" purpose, but I my opinion, they were an irritant! The track list is:

Iron Butterfly Theme
Unconscious Power
Stone Believer
Flowers and Beads
Easy Rider (Let the Wind Pay the Way)
Buttlefly Bleu
In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida

Extra bonus tracks: (recorded in 1997)

In the Time of Our Live
Whispers in the Wind

Interview: Steve Howe (of Yes) discussing Iron Butterfly.

I not only support the other positive reviews but wow! Great quality. Who cares if In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida was not live. Its vintage orginal members. Listening to it I think IAGDV was not the record but rerecorded for the film. Butterfly blue is live though there was no doubt of that. If you like the Butterfly then you will love this video. Great looking Joshua Light show too. Looks great on a HD LCD big screen.

It's so great to have another Iron Butterfly dvd released...that's the good news! This is one concert from 2004's Arrow Rock Festival. The band sounds good, and the sound quality terrific, but for some reason the picture is about 9 seconds off from the audio track. Which is an insainly long delay to have. It looks like someone without the right equipment edited this footage using a computer that could not handle the real time data (but what do I know, I didnt produce it). The picture is constantly paused/interupted and looks like a huge production mistake....It reminds me of what it might be like watching a movie while having slow/dial-up internet access as the video source.

If this is a production error, cool....I look forward to getting the real thing when it's ready. If this is indeed the final product, then YIKES!! It could certainly qualify as the worst video I have ever seen for sale. And this is absolutely my favorite rock band (IRON BUTTERFLY rule!!! no matter who is in the band)...Paying more than $20 for this one, and waiting quite a bit longer than I had hoped for, I kind of feel like I got ripped off.

Again, the AUDIO is just fine, it is complete and uninterupted, the Iron Butterfly sound great live, even after all these years, it is only the video contents that are trashed. If this was a live CD, I think there would be no problem, and IB fans would be happy to see it on the market.

Long live the Iron Butterfly!!

In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida This is a great video collection & a "Double Whammy"! It not only features the original lineup (with Eric Brann on guitar) doing their big hit, but it also includes footage featuring (later on) Mike Pinera & Rhino. This is classic hard rock!
