Product Description

Gaia Herbs Chia Fresh Daily Fiber is an ideal vegetarian fiber source. Gaia Herbs Chia Fresh Daily Fiber's optimal insoluble-to-soluble fiber ratio offers fiber benefits without the common "side effects" of gas and bloating. Gaia Herbs Chia Fresh Daily Fiber is a high-fiber source - with 7 grams of fiber per daily serving, offering gentle support for regularity. And when taken before meals, Gaia Herbs Chia Fresh Daily Fiber helps with weight management by making you "feel fuller faster," thus decreasing your appetite. The vitality and benefits of chia seeds are uniquely harnessed in ChiaFresh Daily Fiber using the O2B Peroxidation Blocker preservation system. This proprietary process captures freshness and prevents oxidation of the Chia seed and, through Supercritical CO2 extraction, removes unhealthy fat and concentrates chia's natural nutrients – improving shelf life and stability. The result is a nutrient dense, fresh-tasting product without the fat content found in whole chia seed, in a convenient, easy-to-mix format.

Of the various choices of fiber to put in smoothies and such, ground chia seed is one of the best. A good source of soluble and insoluble fiber. Easier to use than flax seed (although I recommend you freshly grind flax seed). The ground chia seems to hold well without becoming rancid. Does not thicken as much as psillium seed husk, but does thicken some over time in a smoothie. LIttle to no taste.

This Chia Fresh is very good for your digestive system. It has a great flavor and is easy to use. I pour it on food, use it in yogurt and other types of foods/fluid. Your body will start to depend on it and you will be able to tell the difference if you stop using the product. It is a good alternative to Metamucil or comperable product at about the same cost.

We use this as a standard ingredient in our morning smoothies. The taste is great, so I have to guard against sprinkling it on everything we eat.

I started mixing Chia Fresh Fiber in my morning breakfast shake and it has helped balance my cholesterol which, if for not other reason, makes it worth buying. It also thickens the drink and gives added fiber which has helped with other issues I have. It doesn't have a flavor that I notice so there is no underlying taste other than whatever you mix it with.
