Butterflies! Color! Calm! Casual! these are a few of my favorite things. I love to share them by matching the right words to exquisite images that I have taken myself here in the beautiful bread basket known as the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. I am educated; enough to know there is more to see, absorb, and recreate than days in which to do that. I teach others so that I can learn. I learn by reading, reading, reading, all manner of authors in all kinds of topics, but mainly I read about people, biology, the human brain, and any mystery-novel that is PG-rated. At any one moment, I have three books 'in-process:' a fun book like a mystery; a science book that teaches me; and a perspective book that might be a biography or social commentary. My writing goes the same way. I have projects in every stage of the process at all times: there are little notes of ideas; then notebooks, with each dedicated to one project and its plan; then actual work that includes drafts and research and images collected in cardboard and digital boxes; and finally there is usually only one project that is in the production process at a time (though it may move in and out of that step depending on writer's and technological blocks that happen regardless of how hard I work to avoid them!!). I am a prolific and clear thinker who is happy to share that talent with you!
