Gail Pope is the Founder and President of BrightHaven Animal Sanctuary, Healing Arts center and Hospice: www.brighthaven.org. She has been helping senior, special needs and sick animals on their holistic journeys to better health, wellbeing, hospice and transition for almost two decades and these days her passion is to help educate others to realize these options for their own pets.
Gail was born and educated in Harrow, England, and lived in the UK until her relocation to the United States in 1986 after her husband's company transfer. In the U.S. Gail, after a life changing revelation decided to form an animal rescue organization. She then obtained employment for several years with veterinarian, Dr. Douglas Coward, to gain experience suited to her new profession.
Since 1991 Gail's exciting journey in the world of animal healthcare and hospice has been widely acclaimed as she embraced holistic as well as some conventional care and, amazingly, in doing so has returned many animals to better health and longevity - with cats often living to their late 20's and early 30's and dogs into their mid 20's. Gail primarily employs classical veterinary homeopathy in the care of her animals and is a certified animal Reiki teacher. Gail, Richard and BrightHaven have been featured in many publications as well as on TV and radio. Seminars and consultations are regularly offered at BrightHaven as Gail and Richard follow their passion of "People Helping People to Help Animals."
