About the Author
Michael Penny was born in Ebbw Vale, Gwent, Wales in 1943. He read Mathematics at the University of Reading before teaching for twelve years and becoming the Director of Mathematics and Business Studies at Queen Mary’s College, Basingstoke in Hampshire, England. In 1978 he entered Christian publishing, and in 1984 became the administrator of the Open Bible Trust, a position he held for seven years, before moving to the USA and becoming pastor of Grace Church in New Berlin, Wisconsin. He returned to Britain in 1999 and taught Maths at a Special School for 11-16 students with Emotional Behavioural and Social Disorders, until retiring in 2004. At present he is an editor for the Open Bible Trust and teaches advanced Mathematics to adults on a part-time at Queen Mary’s College, Basingstoke. He has an itinerant ministry which takes him into several churches of different denominations, mainly in the Berkshire and South Oxfordshire area, and has taken him abroad to such countries as Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, the Philippines, the Netherlands, Canada and the U.S.A.
