Protection Meets Slim Design
The Slim Armor's premium TPU provides shock absorption for all major points of impact, making the Slim Armor extremely protective yet surprisingly slim.
Shock Absorption Interior
The Slim Armor's spider-web inspired design disperses the shock through the TPU.
The polycarbonate midsection has a glossy UV coating to prevent the colors from fading or rubbing off.
The case fits precisely onto the Galaxy S4 for a natural and sleek look, and the speaker opening is specifically designed to fully utilize the speaker without reducing sound quality.

As others have noted the left side of the case doesn't completely cover the silver/chrome around the screen of the S4. Some might say that's not a big deal, but I do work outside mostly, even in the winter, and that shiny silver/chrome piece causes major glare when the sun hits it.
Next and this may have just been the product image being odd, but the Dodger Blue looks to be two colors, it's not, it's the right side shade of blue all over. I really thought I would rather have the Dodger Blue color all over, but it would have looked better if it was the two-tone from the picture. Admittedly, this part of my purchase was completely superficial since I was born in California and love the Dodgers, but live on the East Coast now. However, as superficial as it seems, the whole purpose of me having two phone cases is to have one I like the look of compared to the other case being more sturdy for work.
The next problem is that the back plate of the case is a major fingerprint magnet in the Dodger Blue. I had the case on my phone for less than 30 minutes when I noticed the back was completely smudged from fingerprints. They do wipe off easily with a microfiber cloth or your shirt even, but the fingerprint problem looked to be part of a much worse problem -- the back of this case is glossy and slick. My previous Spigen for the iPhone was a gunmetal color that was matte. This glossiness and slickness was the last reason I'll be returning this case. Even as my "not while working" case, it's still way too slick.
The good points are: The holes all seem to be lined up well which makes me think the left silver/chrome piece around my screen isn't a defect, as the holes would be off if the case wasn't cut to match the holes. All the buttons worked properly and one thing I prefer on this case over my Otterbox case is it has a charger opening instead of a rubber piece covering the charger opening like the Otterbox has. It's a minimal point, but I've never had any problems with damaging the charger port on a phone so the open charger port was one thing I did like about this Spigen case. Beyond that though, there just wasn't that much that impressed me. Hopefully Spigen will keep making these are return to a more matte finish on their cases or even add something of a rubber coating on the back to offset the glossiness.
The phone case doesn't really add that much bulk, which is nice. I especially like this since I feel it will protect my phone while it is in my purse with my keys, etc. and prevent scratches. You can still answer calls and alarms even with the outer door. Easy access to the phone ports.
Kind of hard to open without longer nails, but I hope it will give my phone great protection. Only time will tell so I will try to update when I drop my phone (it's inevitable that I will! So hopefully this saves the day every time!)
One thing I do NOT like about this case (and I've seen others have problems with this too) is sometimes the alarm will sound, but the alarm won't display on the viewing window so you have to open the phone to view it. No big deal, unless it gets worse and the alarm doesn't sound at all (I've seen that can happen too), in which case I would miss work and this little case and I would have problems.
I went out and got this case and have been loving it ever since. It's slim, but protective, and I get to use the features I need to talk on the phone without opening up the case's door. Plus, when you close the door, you get all the pertinent info in the little display and it shuts down the larger display. That's a big battery savings. Lastly, when you open the door, it easily hinges around to the back so that you do not have a bulky phone to hold.
The last part of this story is that my boss saw my case and really liked it, so he bought it. No sooner did he put it in his new case than he dropped it, only this time the case saved the phone (and the case itself wasn't even damaged, cosmetically or otherwise). That's a keeper in my book.
