Best Movie ever!! If you get it, it is amazing!!

Please, please take this movie for what it is worth. It is a fun movie done in an over the top way with no budget but they pulled it off rather well.

I really considered purchasing this film because I enjoyed it so much.

Going in I thought I would watch about 20 minutes and then it sucked me in and the hidden gem was revealed. If you take this movie seriously then you are going to hate it. If you are a homophobic male then you may want to skip also.

All I can say is I love sci fi movies and cheesey films like Buckaroo Bonsai, The last Starfighter, and so many more. This is not in the same class as those but it has the same ingenious humor.

I really hope they make more of these.

So bad you can’t turn it off

Designed to be horrible, you’re so into it you can’t turn it off cuz you’ll want to see just how bad it can get. The $4.99 you’ll pay to watch it is more than they spent making it. The Space Cycles…. Sheer brilliance. Your inner nerd will be orgasmic watching Galaxy Lords, I promise!

I'm proud of these guys!

Ok, so it's not Star Wars, but these young people worked hard on the movie and for folks who aren't Hollywood and don't have the background, or the money, or the budget, or the big companies, it's not too bad. I'm glad they did it. I did enjoy it and all I can say is, good job, gang!! you all did great! And you know they had fun doing it.

I think they did this for all of us geeks who have watched a sci fi movie and thought, I'd love to make a cosplay movie but ..... I raise my glass to you all!

Very low budget but well done. Don't take it too serious and you will have a good time.

Update. I re watched this. Even better the 2nd time around. Sit back. Flip the high budget switch in your head from $$$$ to $ and enjoy.
I usually avoid low budget ScFi movies but tossed this on for some background entertainment while 3d printing. After awhile I found myself watching the movie. It's pretty funny and they managed to pull off a pretty good plot and some funny action scenes. I think those high reviews reflect the effort and enjoyment they seem to have while not taking anything too serious.
I will never look at a treadmill the same way again.

Never Seen Anything Like It (But I've also seen everything like it)

This movie is something else. After watching the trailer, I thought it'd be a solid parody at best (a la Manborg), something that pokes fun at those old, cheap Stars Wars knock offs. After watching the movie, though, I realized that this is an entirely different beast altogether. Don't get me wrong, it's hilarious. What's amazing is that it's actually a solid movie as well. Sure, it's cheap, but that's what makes it so impressive. For the first ten minutes, you'll chuckle at the cardboard costumes, green screen tricks, and deliberate overacting. But once you settle in, everything just sort of clicks. The movie somehow manages to maintain it's humor, it's parody, its pastiche, while at the same time getting you invested in its absolutely absurd plot and characters. This film is a masterpiece of tone. I sure hope there's more.

Mind-numbing exposition killed it for me

Disclaimer: I only made it through the first 13 minutes of this, so this review is entirely about that 13 minutes.

I do love good camp.

This is not "good camp". This was bad, if campy, and lacked all of the fun that camp might otherwise offer.

It started off boring. Then lots of gratuitous blood splattering and levels of stupidity unmatched since the first showing of Idiocracy, only to be followed by an overly long bout of two essentially expressionless, slow-speaking, somber, low-voiced, monotone dudes in really bad makeup filling in plot details in a drawn-out exposition that was accompanied by music that would make Scratt from Ice Age fall asleep on the way to an acorn.

Even a narration would have been more exciting - and watchable. That 13 minutes could have been covered in 60 seconds of titling ala Star Wars.

*SPOILER ALERT*

Here is all of the action and plot of that first 13 minutes:

A big bad guy who almost took over the galaxy years ago escapes from a prison and people are now very upset and not sure what to do.

Done.

Seriously, 13 minutes of ponderous, overwrought dialogue with some gratuitous blood splatter along the way are all summed up in that one sentence.

As others have advised, watch the trailer. If you see anything "exciting" that you can make any sense out of, it's not in the first 13 minutes. Then decide if you want to watch it.

Proceed at your own risk if you do.

It's horrible You'll love it.

Terrible acting, terrible special effects, terrible story line which makes it terribly good. So long as you go into this knowing how bad it is you'll probably enjoy it. It's like a group of college film students (not the best college either) had $15, a pack of chewing gum, a used treadmill sixteen rolls of duct tape, 26 moving boxes, and few cans of red and silver spray paint and said "Hey! Let's make a movie during Spring Break!" The most fun you'll have is trying to figure out if it is a good movie trying to be bad or a bad movie trying to be worse. Either way it's worth a bowl of popcorn and a group of like-minded friends to share this campy treasure with.

Campy, low budget, but fun

Galaxy Lords is a micro-budget film that is essentially set in a totally CGI-rendered world and populated with enthusiastic non-professional actors. However, I enjoyed how visually imaginative it was, and found myself having a good time. Defiantly one to watch with the aid of your preferred supporting chemical enhancement and several friends, but worth a look. I hope the filmmakers keep it up as they are clearly very passionate.
