I really enjoy the art style, the David Bowie references, the doggo. The story really spoke to me. Of course its a trans story, but honestly I think most people can relate in some fashion for the need to be yourself.
Worth noting that this is an origin story for a character that is starting to appear in regular DC comics.
Excited to see all the places this character is going and for more stories from this author.
The beauty and labor of love that went into this novel is just through the charts. The color schemes and facial expressions are just tugging at my heartstrings and my laughing muscles. My favorite comic illustrator is Kevin McGuire (JLI), and Jess Taylor's style is far more pronounced and manga-like, but still has the same range of communicating emotion and nuance. And the fashion... I mean, you know the character designs are a treasure trove of style. I wish I had gotten into fashion earlier in life, and this book definitely inspires. But it's also timeless in many ways.
Just, wow.
