Product description

Made of durable HDPE with barrier materials to virtually eliminate hydrocarbon emissions. Holds 5 gallon, (20 liters), of your gas and oil mixes and exceeds California Air Resource Board (CARB) and EPA requirements for portable fuel containers. The 5600 was designed with two (2) handles for easier use and handling. In addition, this can was built with a wider base and lower center of gravity to reduce the chance of a can tipping over and if it does; our spouts close automatically with an airtight seal.

The spouts on these gas cans are faulty and completely unsafe to use on my 2015 Jeep Renegade. After inserting the spout nozzle fully, clicking the red tab, hooking the nozzle catch on the end of the filler neck and pressing forward, the gas in the can does not flow. With constant repositioning, some gas finally flows momentarily but does not make it into the tank, instead splashes back and runs along the plastic flashing around the filler neck and runs to the floor. Extremely dangerous and unsafe to use. This type of can is a fire hazard.

Had to remove screen to use fuel transfer pump. Very difficult to remove without damaging can. Pulled first one out, but used stick to drive others into can to get them out of the way, The little red child proof safety button on two of the spouts were just about impossible to release, other two actually worked. I cut and removed them. also cut off the ratchet device on the cap. There is a video on line showing how to push the release on the spout, I guess they realize they are a problem.
